That sure is optimistic.

I am very grateful for 6 hours, it's 6 hours MORE than you would have any other way, and you get the other benefits. If you don't like the vault games/have them already/ whatever, cool, you still get the discounts. If that doesn't do it for you, then maybe this isn't for you, and that's fine too. But anyone who came in expecting Season Ticket AND everything else for only $5 more is really at no fault but their own.
True we should not have taken it for granted that it would be Season Ticket. However, as a business person I do not see the strategy of limiting sports games. What is the harm in having it like Season Ticket, none that I can think of other than people tearing the game apart which is what I believe is behind the move. On the other hand you can limit it to six hours and piss off your customers such as me and we cancel EA Access. I know if I was confident in my game I would not be making the same decision EA is making from a business perspective.

I was hoping to wake up to Peter Moore coming to his senses. lol

Anyways Maybe EA should consider making Madden NFL 15 unlimited to at least yearly subscription holders.

That way it's basically it's atleast treated like the Season Ticket.

And I totally get this point of view, that people are disappointed with the limit and all that. However, I don't think it was necessarily a dig at sports gamers, it's just the nature of the program. They didn't start EA Access with the intention of it being like ST, it just happens to offer some early access to ALL EA games, and at the start I'm sure they decided that ALL EA games would have a limited amount of playtime before release, and sports games just have the disadvantage of being compared to a completely different EA services offered on a different generation of platforms.

They never made it out to be like season ticket. Many people assumed it'd be like it, but they were clear enough from the start, it wasn't going to be like season ticket.

They kept this a secret long enough where people who love sports games would spend 30 dollars on this so they could play all the ea sports games.

That's a good idea actually. Name the subscriptions something like monthly = silver, yearly = gold, and with gold you'd be able to have full, unlimited access for a few days.

I understand what you are saying, but there has been a gazillion videos shown within the past week and EA allowed that to happen last Friday at noon eastern time.

So, it didn't boil down to a confidence level in their game.

Im pretty sure you thought the same, if this was known before hand I'm pretty sure the reactions and amount of people signing up would have changed. If you are just interested in playing madden that bad then cool, but otherwise its not really worth it for 6hrs thru 5 days.

I highly doubt sonys decision had anything to do with the amount of hours we get early access to madden. It had everything to do with their subscription service that is already in place.

Yep. Absolutely. From a technical standpoint as some of the mods have pointed out, we were told there 'may' be limited access for certain games. Many of us thought because season ticket gave unlimited access, this would, too. So, ultimately there were assumptions made on our part, and maybe lack of full disclosure on ea's part. But, this is the point that's starting to stick out to me, and purely from a biz perspective. Legitimately, what do they have to lose by allowing unlimited access for the 5 days. If 6 hours doesn't give u a clue as to what the game is doing (bad or good), I don't see what the harm is in giving the people what they want. Is it playable online for the 5 days? Are their servers going to be used for 5 extra days costing them jillions of dollars? So, for me, if you're not losing anything, u should've just made it unlimited. This would've gone such a long way towards making positive relations with fans again. And, if they are fearful that no one will buy the game after trying it out, I guess that's their biz decision. IMO, the better decision would be to help win back the fan base, but I'm not personally all about the benjamins, so not sure their entire strategy, here. So, here again, I think someone in their PR dept really needs to step in and help out their image.
