Guys while I have never played the modes that seem to be missing, is there a feature list about the 360 version? Is the nbc package and doc and Eddie in the 360 version?

At this point you really can't say EA isn't listening cause that is at least 70% of what the topics on the board are about after the yearly release comes out, until they announce the next year's game. It's whining about commentary (which everyone now say's sucks now that they heard it) and game faces. So, careful what you wish for.
Yeah but no one said "Hey, fix your presentation and commentary but leave out popular game modes!" The commentary and presentation was a legit gripe, especially when both were relatively the same since 2010 or so. 4 years of the same lines, same openings, same cutscenes. Same everything.

We, as a gaming community, wanted something different. With games like the 2K basketball series spoiling us in terms of commentary and FIFA having both good commentary and good presentation - we expected something similar without the thought of game modes being sacrificed ever crossing our minds.

So for a community, both the NHL gamer and Operation Sports as a whole, that strives towards realism - yes, we wanted real game faces so the players we watch on TV looked something like the players we play with in our consoles and yes we wanted a fresh, new presentation and commentary team .

EA leaving out EASHL and GM Connected, if the rumors are true, isn't because they said "Hey, pick this fancy new NBC package or pick these game modes" and we all said "Hmmmmm, give us video Doc and Edzo and throw in some nice faces while you're at it." They were left out because EA is either

        1. Scared that they won't have the server capacity to handle both last and current gen online needs
        2. Truly don't believe that their revamped "physics engine" will play 'nice' with 10+ human players running into each other
        3. Withheld the mode(s) so they can be back of the box material for NHL 16.

It is a shame because I've played EA hockey since NHLPA 93 on my sega, modded the hell out of NHL 00-04 and generally enjoyed every version up until 2012 when the same issues popped up every year (horrible AI, presentation, commentary, etc) yet still bought the game because my EASHL team played it so much.

So I am going to pass this year if EASHL is not included because while flash will work for awhile - I trust those at OS will give a real review of the game once the honeymoon period is over.

No EASHL? No GMC? So what, we still got goalies fight to enjoy a true and real hockey experience!

Funny how the puck was bouncing more in NHL 14 than NBA Live 14.

As for the game, I was looking, after a long 11 months break (stopped playing NHL 14 after a month), to get the game and play it offline to see if there was improvements. Saying to myself that if BaP is still broken for D-man, I would jump on the Online Team Play to get my street hockey fix.

Looks like I'm going to wait a few more months. Won't pay 82$ (including taxes) to play a half version of NHL 14 with new graphics and "oh my god" real arena while the only thing I look at in a game is the freaking ice.

NBA Live 14 sort of patched in a game mode. The practice gym was added in a patch. Not really a full-fledged mode, but it shows it is possible.

I play EASHL roughly 95% of the time, and I'll be as disappointed as the next person that it won't be available for the next gen consoles...but am I missing something when people keep saying things like "I'll be skipping this year's game"? Just buy the XBOX 360 or PS3 versions, those are going to have EASHL (based on the back of the retail box artwork we've seen from Costco's site)

I was going to buy an XBOX One in September to play NHL 15 on it, but if they aren't going to have EASHL for that platform, then I'll hold off buying the console...until Halo Master Chief Collection comes out in November!

I'm not a fan of being forced to buy a game on last gen because they neglected next gen. If there is no eashl in NHL 15 on Xbox one I'm not giving ea any money for NHL.

Anyone know when EA's servers were "shut off" for NHL 13 last year? Just curious to see how long they allowed people to play NHL 13 online once NHL 14 launched...

This is exactly why I wish they separated the game into 2 titles somehow (i.e. make EASHL a downloadable title, or make the offline type of game that way, though that makes less sense). I assume you're primarily an online/EASHL guy, and that's cool, but the focus of the series has been on that stuff for years now which has left much of the offline play (for offline guys like me) stunted.

It's different crowds asking for completely different things out of this series altogether. Here's the thing though; neither side is wrong. We just want different games, and since there's absolutely no competition in the hockey video game market, this is what happens.

Eh, I'm not about to go plug my 360 back in just so I can play a complete hockey game. Maybe if I were a diehard fan that couldn't live without hockey, but as a casual fan that simply enjoys hockey but only plays the NHL games for EASHL, it's not really worth it to go back to last gen. I'll be alright playing other PS4 games.

If you want to play EASHL and EA is only offering it on the XBOX 360, then why NOT play it? Why not continuing to enjoy EASHL just because it's not on the next gen systems? I understand the disappointment and/or anger about it, but are you gonna allow that to prevent you from NOT enjoy something?

I see what you're saying, but a lot of people didn't enjoy 14. Most of the hardcore guys left with 13 and 14 killed off even more There's no way those guys are going back to what they perceive as old gen now and especially after the lack of response from EA. The QCs and danglevechkins will still be there.

Yes that's exactly what I will do. And if enough people do it hopefully it will make a difference. I sunk countless hours into eashl it's all I played.

I'm already planning on grabbing diablo since a lot of gaming hours just were freed up that I would have been spending on eashl.

I'm not being a dick here, honest - but if EASHL is all that you played, why would you just stop playing it? Because EA didn't put it in the next gen versions? They didn't even make it for the next gen systems last year and yet I never had a problem with a shortage of EASHL teams/players to play against.

I understand it's a principle thing, but it sounds like you're spiting yourself.
