Can someone tell me how course sharing works? How do I try out courses that have been created by other gamers? Do you DL them, or what?

I think it was set a medium difficulty. I played the hardest setting and shot in the teens. It was very hard.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

You're right there with me. My problem is I can't always finish an online round with the "ghosts". I lose connection and then I can't resume the game.Comment

Re: The Golf Club Available Now For Xbox One & PC, Soon For PlayStation 4
I played a few holes over lunch and there was one thing that bugged me.
Every shot that isn't a tee shot or a putt, "swoops" in. It seems to take too long and you have to wait for it to settle behind you every time. It's like a wasted 3-6 seconds every shot.
Is there a way to disable this?
Other than that, I am usually someone who complains about golf games being too easy and I don't think that will happen here.
Played 9 holes and shot 46. I was hooking everything though so I think a slight grip adjustment on the controller might straighten me out.Comment

A few things:
- The game (in general) looks good from a distance, but as soon as you look at anything up close, it looks like it came right from a Golden Tee game.
- The game is not too easy. The one complaint is that it's too easy to hit the ball straight, but I've played a few rounds so far and I'd guess my fairway % is no higher than 60.
- The commentary is awful, the rest of the sounds are awesome. Turn off the commentary.
- The gameplay is fine, but putting and chipping feel wonky and loose to me.
- Course designer is really pretty cool, but I'm hoping that at some point they will give us more freedom in terms of layouts and really going crazy with it.
- If this game could ever get online tournaments together (with a ranking system, perhaps?), I think it would be an absolute blast. Still, lots of potential here. Hope the game does well.Writer for Operation Sports

As horrendous as my play currently is I would be highly motivated to improve to a point to play in some tourneys, but I'm worried about online because I keep dropping and can't resume. Hope they iron this out. I'm assuming I'm not alone here?Comment

Re: The Golf Club Available Now For Xbox One & PC, Soon For PlayStation 4
I was grooving everything this morning off the tee perfectly straight, then I jumped in and played Dunwoody Leicht and couldn't hit a fairway to save my life, slicing everything into the tall brush.
This game is certainly not "easy". I will struggle on difficult courses. Putting has become much easier & more intuitive after my 3rd round of play.....I now feel like I have a shot at making everything under 15-20', getting it at least near the hole. I still struggle massively with the long 40' putts that have to travel up a large hill. Very fun & realistic putting system IMO.
Chipping can be difficult. I have to pace myself, slow down, analyze the shot & execute it. You can't just walk up to the ball & give it a whack, you'll overshoot the pin by 300%!
I think this does a good job of modelling real golf, and I haven't even gotten into draws/fades or lofted shots.Comment

Re: The Golf Club Available Now For Xbox One & PC, Soon For PlayStation 4
My connection has dropped on 2 of the 3 rounds I've played, all of the drops were with ghost balls. I don't see how you can resume, it takes me back to the main menu. Very very frustrating, but since I'm shooting +10 I can't be too mad, as I'm probably 2 or 3 shots away from a rage quit anyway lol!Comment

I don't want to make things out to be that this game is perfect, but I really think the game sheds light on how outrageous gaming has gotten in the last 10 years.
From attribute points, to ratings, to special badges and pins that make your player better, TGC scraps all those things and places me in the game where I don't have to worry about the awkward hassles of "making my guy better."
I'm not saying there isn't a place for that, but this game is good enough to where you see that's what you really want most, a game that challenges you and puts the results in your hands.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Well I did finish 18 holes online without interruption. On the positive side I did better than terrible. On the negative side my "ghosts" foes had an easy time. This was on the medium difficulty Yuma Desert Course.

Re: The Golf Club Available Now For Xbox One & PC, Soon For PlayStation 4
really frustrated with the putting, especially long putts. There's just no rhyme or reason to it. I'm either drilling them a mile long, or way too short. Just impossible to really tell what do to with putting.
any tips?Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

1) if you think this looks like golden tee, xbone must look ugly. My pc looks beautiful the closer you get.
2) course designer allows a ton of freedom since the release of new shaping tools. You can design your own fairway, rough, hills, etc. There's no limitations. We do need more objects, themes.Comment
