Do We Have Anything New In Be A Gm?

Honestly I am a offline gamer when it comes to NHL. I know EA is moving to all online but we still have a decent fan base of offline. I have heard nothing new about improvement for the Be A GM mode. This is kind of a deal breaker because I have been playing the same Be A GM for the last 2-3 years. This is kind of getting stale. Why should I spend $60 on an pretty much huge patch to upgrade the graphics and a new dvd. Maybe I am wrong but I cannot find anything.

"We’re continuing as part of our updates to bring back some of that depth in different ways. We’ll have more details on what the patch plans for Be-A-GM specifically at a later date. The goal was to create a solid foundation to continue to build upon and to bring back things our fans have been asking for which we haven’t been able to in the past because of other technical limitations we’ve had."

See this tells me to get my money for the reserved back and wait a few months until its on sale and hope by then the patch will be out.... hmmm

Honestly, from what it sounded like it might be bare bones. Like it was before the last version was updated on current gen systems. Very disappointing. We will find out in about 2 weeks for sure, I suppose.

Yes it does.. very disappointing for sure.

I don't want to wait months after release for a patch to play a deeper BaGM.. ugh....

I really hope this game plays beautifully, as it sounds like that's the only chance it's got.

Currently it's really sounding like HUT is the only mode that got any attention at all.

Are we still supposed to learn about modes this week, or was the circus today it?

Its been like this for a ....i dont know when. When I purchase the game, I need to wait until Nov or Dec just for a patch/tuner that will make the game playable to my liking.

For me, WAS - wait and see, just like what i did in 14.

              OS: What about Be-A-GM?

SR: In Be-A-GM, you have the opportunity to control your own franchise and guide them to a Stanley Cup. All of the basics of the mode are there: there’s free agency, trading, and the rookie draft. You can play up to 25 seasons as well. The core of that mode is there.

We’re continuing as part of our updates to bring back some of that depth in different ways. We’ll have more details on what the patch plans for Be-A-GM specifically at a later date. The goal was to create a solid foundation to continue to build upon and to bring back things our fans have been asking for which we haven’t been able to in the past because of other technical limitations we’ve had.

WHAT!? You mean to tell me that 15 will have the same BaGM and no new features? How many years since EA touched this mode and then they will say that their "goal was to create a solid foundation"? I played BaGM since 2008, and I barely see the difference year after year. A-YAY-YAY-YAY-YAY.

Re: Do We Have Anything New In Be A Gm?

It's kind of weird, after being light years behind other sport franchises presentation wise, they finally took that step forward this iteration but have now totally stripped down their game modes to do so. It makes sense as a first step I guess, but damn...that really sucks. Maybe they should have been gradually improving every year instead of sticking with the same crap since NHL 08?

There's no excuse for having the exact same skater creation system for an entire console generation. And now that lack of attention has kind of bit them in the ***.

I am usually an optimist when it comes to these things but given how secretive they have been and how Rammer ignored every GM related question in the Q and A, I just don't know. I can already see it being the same broken trade/singing logic, the same boring menus and the same absolutely pointless cell phone system.

I am encouraged by how they focused on gameplay as the foundation, but the game just doesn't seem ready for retail. It seems like '15 will be the Gen 4 gameplay beta.

Basically sounds like it'll be bare bones to start, and they may patch in features.

Which sounds like the beginning of every other gen, IF the gameplay feels different. It seems like companies are picking between full featured but only cosmetically upgraded (I'm looking at you The Show 14) editions of their games, or hopefully retooled albeit partial versions of their games.

Well you would think that after 2 years of solid development time, that we would get some kind of update. But I guess we will see. I just don't want to wait for a "patch" to come and update/fix it.

focused on gameplay? well...so far in the footages i saw...i think its still the same....i know its hard to see it especially if they are just showing a movie like presentation instead of 2 knowledgeable guys who will show you the new and improved gameplay.

One thing we need to do as consumers, imo, don't support this product....send them the real message so will smarten up and take NHL seriously.

I played the show 14 on ps3 at a buddies house after golf one day and it is a big step down from the ps4 version.
