    EA Access Question

If this has already been answered please close. After your 6 hours are up, will they allow you to purchase the game and still play early?

Most likely not. I think you would be able to download it ahead of time though but it will not be playable until 8/26.

Thank you! In my opinion, I would think something like this would be a nice feature that would soften the blow.

It's actually a pretty decent idea for the following:
        1. Get people to purchase the subscription.
        2. Limit the early purchases from other people (Ebay, Craigslist, etc.)
        3. Get people to buy their game
        4. Make people go digital and limit the trade-in business.

I was thinking about that also. Something like. If you just got EA access then they limit how much time you play early, but if you have EA access and brought it digitally then you could play for as long as you want.

You already playing it early because of EA access so what would be different from allowing people to buy it early after the 6 hours is up. I really don't see why it shouldn't be that way.

That would be a great idea and give more people the incentive to buy the game digitally. But I highly doubt EA will be doing that though.

Didn't really consider it before, but it would be genius for EA to do this. Then the people who are pissed about the limited 6 hours could go ahead and buy the game that they were going to buy anyway. You've got to figure digital sales would increase considerably. Plus, the game is already out there, so I don't see the downside for EA.

Also may have given them a few extra impulse buys. Would have been a fantastic idea.

That would be a great idea although I don't know if release date rules with retailers prevent it.

i really dont see the downside to doing this. Everybody who has ea access already have access to the full game. so why not just allow them to buy the whole game after you time is up. makes perfect sense.

                      Re: EA Access Question

I really don't see the downside to EA allowing full early access to people that purchase the full game digitally. It's a locked up sale. By not allowing purchase until the release date, they possibly lose some impulse purchases or lose out on digital sales to people just finding a good deal elsewhere. Retailers may not like it, but that didn't stop full early access from the season ticket program. Different services sure, but the concept is literally the same except 3 vs. 5 days early.

From the EA Access twitter " Once your six hour trial is up, you'll have to wait until the release date to play the game. Progress will carry over, however!"

Ea early access started to slow down the mom amd pop shops from selling early for extra money. Don't like this idea either. Just release the game on a Friday which is what people really want to play over the weekend.
