I agree. We just need less ratings. I don't really think we need 20 different catch ratings. Have one catch rating. In real life if a guy can catch, he can catch.
For example, with one catch rating, the WR's strength could also dictate how good he is at catching the ball and taking a hit and holding on. We don't need a CIT rating. Catching the ball along the sidelines and toe tapping should be dictated by a catch rating and an awareness rating and probably agility as well.
The ratings system has way too many ratings as is. Dumb it down, but create a bigger difference between each player and it probably works a lot better than the ridiculous system we have now.
