Re: CW SAPP Connected Franchise Review(Images Included)
That COULD help but QB Stats are no just controlled by the QBs. WRs, TEs, and RBs(catching Passes) have an effect on the Stats. Sliders will be Part of the Solution.Last edited by vtcrb; 08-22-2014, 03:16 PM.NBA 2k18 Roster:

CW SAPP Connected Franchise Review(Images Included)
Not sure if this has been stated since I haven't read every post but I have an idea why players are progressing and regressing so weirdly. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the confidence and game prep stuff. It looks like to me the CPU is focusing on specific things only and not the whole team (usually younger players). You talk about Bortles jumping from like 76 to 90, I'd be curious as to what the rest their teams progression looked like because I would bet they used all their team hours on only progressing Bortles, not progressing other players or working on confidence. Bortles had a pretty good year yet his confidence is only 61, while Manziel had a bad year and his confidence is at 84. I think this is because the browns were using their hours on confidence boosts rather than progression and as a result manziel only progresses one or two points overall. Same idea with Newton. He probably already had a high awareness so the CPU just completely ignored it and focused it's hours elsewhere. This could true to aging QBs on decent teams like Ryan and Big Ben. Their team might be more worried about winning now and putting all their hours towards confidence and arent trying to progress their aging QBs (especially Ben).Last edited by tc020791; 08-22-2014, 03:40 PM.Comment

I haven't yet scrolled through the entire topic, just past the first page. With that said, I might be able to bounce an idea off you about the "production" statistic that was mentioned on page one. Perhaps the reason that Shaziers production ended up being greater than Morris' production (despite the caliber of seasons among the two) is because it's position and/or playing time specific.Comment

Re: CW SAPP Connected Franchise Review(Images Included)
From what I saw from the screens no retiring QB's seem to be there.
Does this mean we finally got rid of the ridiculous feature of players retiring early just so they can come back? God, I hope so. Hate seeing Peyton shuffle through 3 or 4 teams. And Brees retiring so soon. Only because Favre did that 5 years ago.
Sad thing is that If I user all my games.. and say I throw 40 TD's. My QB will be the best by FAR too easily. Shame that I like to build 'em up slowly.Comment

LMFAO at the people trying to make excuses for this garbage. We are in the year 2014 people... I saw better sim stats in Madden 04 and 05.
I can't believe some people sit around and want to defend EA and this nonsense by saying things like "OH MAYBE DEFENSE WAS JUST REALLY FREAKING AMAZING THIS YEAR!!! .....What's that, Peyton only threw 13 touchdowns? MUST BE BECAUSE HE PLAYED GREAT FOR SO MANY YEARS, HE HAS TO HAVE ONE BAD YEAR!!!.... RIGHT?!!!"
Come on now. Be real with yourselves. If Sim stats aren't a game breaker to you then so be it, but please don't sit here and try to insult our intelligence by saying these things may happen next year in football. I have $100 for anyone who want's to bet me Peyton will throw for 13 TD's or less.
I'm happy I canceled my preorder a few days ago. For the first time since 2004, EA will not be getting my $60 for Madden. Hope everyone who does buy it ends up enjoying it though.Comment

So are "looking into it" and completely ignoring it. At least they are acknowledging that they have a problem and are attempting to do something about it. If they weren't going to attempt to fix it they wouldn't have said anything. We have seen that from many video game companies in the past (including past iterations of Madden).Comment

They finally get the gameplay in a great spot then mess up on the franchise mode. It looks like I'll be passing on this game until they get it fixed.Comment

Re: CW SAPP Connected Franchise Review(Images Included)
How are the field goals made/attempted looking in comparison to real life? I don't know how thoroughly the SIM engine plays out these games, but I'm wondering if the seemingly conservative playcalling (way too many rushing attempts, yards/attempt too low for qbs) is resulting in more drives that end short because the cpu is often throwing a short pass, or running the ball, in 3rd down situations.
Maybe the qbs are "checking down" too often in a "3rd & 7 from the 23" type of situation, thus limiting passing tds and maybe increasing fgs/punts. It just really seems like, from the rushing attempts and the low yards/pass for the qbs, that the cpu relies too heavily on the low risk/high reward play instead of trying to stretch the field like teams with good qbs like to do.
