In the league where I've already kept Rodgers and LeVeon Bell and have the 1st overall pick (the top two guys available are Matt Forte and Adrian Peterson, and it is NOT a PPR league), someone offered me LeSean McCoy (their keeper) for the first overall pick and a swap of our 7th round picks (I pick first in the 7th, he picks last, so I'd be moving all the way down to the bottom of round 7 basically to replace Forte or Peterson with LeSean McCoy.

Trade Advice
I figure this will probably come in handy once the regular season gets going, but before that, I have a potential trade that I'm pondering.

Re: Trade Advice
I'd take that, personally. As great as AD is, I think McCoy is going to put up ridiculous numbers in his 2nd year in Chip's system. The swap of 7th rounders hurts a bit, but at that point you'll probably be looking to fill your bench anyway; and I think it's worth it to upgrade to McCoy.Last edited by Jr.; 08-25-2014, 11:41 AM. -
Re: Trade Advice
I had a longer reply written out but, basically, what wwharton said. If he wants to do it straight-up or go to like an 11th-round (at the earliest) swap, then I would consider it. Of course, it all depends on what you think McCoy is going to do.
If you think McCoy is going to explode and want to do it, I can think of worse deals you could take. I'd have to be confident that he will be head-and-shoulders above those other guys though and I just don't think he will be. He may be the best player but I don't think he'll be miles ahead of Forte/AP.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: Trade Advice
Thanks for the help guys. I'm still a bit undecided on this. It's kinda ironic because I drafted McCoy last year and traded him for Forte and Roddy White (was really hoping White would turn it around, but Forte ended up outplaying McCoy for most of the rest of the season anyways), so it's kind of funny that I'm considering trading back for him now.
One of the other things I'm considering in this trade is the fact that this guy doesn't have a 3rd, 8th, 13th, or 15th round pick, and he burned his 11th round pick by keeping Josh Gordon, so by making this trade and allowing him to move up in the 7th, it could make a huge difference for him considering his lack of picks.NFL: Bills

Re: Trade Advice
Given what you've said about his situation, I'd say that he's desperate. If you think McCoy will be better than Forte/AP, counter for a straight-up McCoy-#1 pick trade. Sounds like he needs this trade a heck of a lot more than you do. Personally, I would keep the pick. Thanks for the help guys. I'm still a bit undecided on this. Re: Trade Advice
I ended up trading for McCoy. I move up to the #1 pick in the 10th and 12th while he moves down in the 10th but moves up to 1 in the 11th
Edit: I think he thought that it was the even rounds where I picked first, so he thought I was moving down in the 10th and 12th lol.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 08-29-2014, 07:35 AM.NFL: Bills

Re: Trade Advice
Need help with a couple of trades. 1 point PPR
Sent this trade early this morning, we discussed that it was most likely that he was going to take this.
Other person:
Brandon Marshall
Doug Martin
Me:
Pierre Garcon
DeMarco Murray
Lamar Miller
I've been trying to get rid of Garcon for the longest, but I feel that Murray is going to have a great year with the Cowboys saying that they are dedicated to the run game this year.
Then another trade came up and this one is tough for me
Other person:
Vincent Jackson
Keenan Allen
Marshawn Lynch
Me:
Dez Bryant
Shane Vereen
Do I take both trades? Take just one and leave the other alone? Any help is appreciatedBoston Celtics

Re: Trade Advice
I'd definitely take Marshall and Doug. The second offer is much tougher IMO. Quantity vs. Quality, and Vereen is damn good for ppr as well.NFL: Bills

That's what I'm thinking also. I'm going to see if I can switch Vereen out with someone else, with Blount gone his role is definitely going to increase. Thanks for the help!Boston Celtics

No problem. I love DeMarco this year too, but Marshall is a ppr monster and Doug should be very good in ppr as well since Sims is out. Dougie will be used a ton in the Tampa offense this year.NFL: Bills

Re: Trade Advice
Well the dude involved in the Marshall trade changed his mind lol, kinda sucks cause I know I was going to come out the winner of that trade.
I ended up taking the Dez trade, but for some reason, he took Vereen out and said he wanted Randle and Lamar Miller (he's a Dolphins fan lol).
And since I couldn't get that Marshall trade, I ended up doing Garcon and Murray, for Jordy Nelson and Montee Ball.
So now my team looks like:
Aaron Rodgers
Vincent Jackson
Matt Forte
Montee Ball
Gronk
Kennan Allen at Flex
Kansas City Defense
Bench:
Shane Vereen
Andy Dalton
Dennis Pitta
Reggie Wayne
Brandin Cooks
Markus Wheaton
Marshawn Lynch
Already thinking of how I can use Lynch as trade bait, but as of right now I'm pretty content.Boston Celtics

Re: Trade Advice
Ok, so in one of my leagues, I need to free up a roster spot to get a kicker.
The bottom of my roster is made up of:
Kenny Britt
Ahmad Bradshaw (also have Trent Richardson)
Miles Austin
Shonn Greene (also have Sankey)
Andre Williams
Andy Dalton
Jermaine Kearse
I know this is going to sound silly, but I can't decide on who to cut because I have a sneaky suspicion that Kearse is going to be a solid sleeper this year for the Seahawks, and the other guys are all pretty solid.
What are your opinions on Andre Williams, Shonn Greene, and Miles Austin? I know a couple teams are interested in Greene and Austin, and while I like Williams, it sounds like the Giants aren't going to give him the ball much, at least at the beginning of the year.
I think my best option might be to try to swing a 2 for 1 trade, so something like Greene and Williams for Fred Jackson or Mark Ingram or something, which would free up a roster spot so that I can get a kicker. Or something like Miles Austin and Andre Williams for Jarrett Boykin.
Obviously Greene isn't a great player, but I'm hesitant to give him up since I have Sankey and Tennessee's O-Line should be stellar, so whoever gets the ball there could theoretically end up being a solid fantasy guy.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 09-02-2014, 09:33 AM.NFL: Bills

Re: Trade Advice
You don't have much time. I personally wouldn't do any 2nd/3rd tier trades 2 days before the season starts. Might as well ride what I've got. Especially since whoever you trade with will need to drop another player to make it work. Unless there's a clear team that you can see doing that, I'd just go ahead and drop someone and grab your kicker.Ok, so in one of my leagues, I need to free up a roster spot to get a kicker.

As for who, I'd drop Williams. Tom C hates rookies early and Jennings is healthy and running well. By midseason all of that could (and very well may) change, and I doubt someone jumps to pick Williams up. If they do, they may end up dropping him again before he does anything... and unless Jennings gets hurt, it all doesn't matter anyway.
Everyone else you have makes sense as handcuffs, and the WRs do all have potential to outperform their ADP.Comment

Re: Trade Advice
Thanks. That definitely makes sense. I think I'll probably end up doing that unless this guy accepts an offer of Roddy White and the Trent/Bradshaw combo for Andre Johnson and Steven Jackson, but I'm starting to question whether that really does anything for me anyways. You don't have much time.
