It sure has a different feel. Skating and deeking is way more restrictive.

I'm sold on the puck physics for sure... Controls not sure.

I actually saw the computer use poke checks in situations where they should. Of course they missed the puck, but that can be fixed with sliders. This was all from a livestream, so i haven't played it yet.

Saw someone streaming it on twitch, and I must say I was pretty impressed with how it looked on default demo settings—which is usually a terrible indication of what the game is like. I think there is a good base here for me to tune my experience into a satisfying sim experience. Now I just need clarification on what is going on with Be a GM.

Played one game, it feels like NHL 14, a lot like it, Visually, STUNNING!!! This is next gen. As far as game play goes, there's some things that could be cleaned up, like the helmets on the ice zipping all over the place, CPU, still a bit aggressive, and can score right after you score (Just like NHL 15). I might not be able to play my usual 10 min periods because of this!! Controls are responsive, Like I said, it's similar to NHL 14, but so far so good!!

Doesn't look like there's any restriction on camera angles. Just tried true broadcast. Works.

I like it...and just like every NHL game I suck...can't even get 1 goal on Pro...lol

Gameplay= good
Graphics= great
Skill stick= garbage
Thought the skill stick was supposed to give us total control instead it gives you zero control. Can't even do a simple forehand backhand. Now this combined with one touch dekes the game controls you. Oh and for the guy who said he couldn't score a goal just slap shot from anywhere and you should get 3 or 4 per 2 min period.

Any chance someone could post a video playing the demo with sim-style? No replay skipping etc. That would be great!

you can play with the True Broadcast camera in the demo...controls feel a lil tight...maybe not using to dangling with the xbox1 controller...other from that the CPU plays pretty smart on d. you cant just get to where you wanna go..they'll bump you and poke check it off you

Oh yeah and on a positive note the A.I does actually play a lot better.
Still glad I cancelled my pre-order though. Will see if they can improve the stick control with a patch or something in future.

Bwiggy, It is. You can skate up the boards over the line every time again.

I found my backhand goal is money again. I can score during practice with Kopitar every time already. Even carry out from the corner boards and go far side on the goal line on Lundqvist every single time. Went 15/15 on it.

But I'll save full impressions for late tonight. There is lots of positives so far and some negatives. And a lot of the same with the goalies, which isn't good.
