Since when has Madden not had music?

I always used to look forward to hearing new music when I would pop in the Madden disk. But now all I hear is trumpets playing in the back ground. What happened to the good old days of Bubba Sparxxx or Good Charlotte?

Madden NFL 13 was the first Madden in recent years to have an original score. Every game in the series since has followed suit, leaving Madden NFL 12 as the final EA Sports football title to feature EA Trax.

It's weird, though. During games, you can hear some songs that haven't been on past year's games. Wish they'd give you option of putting those in the menu and not the instrumentals.

The NFL Films music and Sam Spence remixes should be in the game every year. Hopefully EA can bring them back.

I would love this. Didn't NFL Fever for the original Xbox have the NFL Films music? It's been so long I can't remember, but I would prefer that over anything.

I always loved the madden soundtracks when they did "EA Trax". They probably took them out to save money, I'm assuming

Seems like they're still putting new music in the games, though. They put Seven Nation Army in last year, and this year I'm hearing quite a few new songs in the stadiums, too. I'm pretty sure one of them is on the Show.

Just puzzles me that they restrict them to just during the games instead of allowing you to play them at the menus because they already have the rights.

I agree with this. THIS is the music that needs to be added in future Maddens.

It did indeed.

I like this approach towards music -- having the stadium songs playing over the menus diminishes any impact they have in-game. They're where they belong.

I might be in the minority here but I thought the Sam Spence remixes were absolutely horrible. What they really need is a custom music feature (once PS4 finally adds mp3 support) similar to what NHL had last gen.

I like how NCAA had that option. It actually allowed you to put your music in the game so it would play after a certain event like a touchdown or first down.

my girlfriend absolutely hates the trumpets...guess i will be using the headphones
