Can you change the playbook back when you regain control of the coach after the offseason?



I would think you could change the playbooks of all teams you control to ensure they play different. So have them set one way for simulation purposes, then go in and change your opponent before you play them and reset it after the game.

I always find the draft to be more head scratching than free agency (especially with respect to CPU drafting QB's to teams that don't need them). I think free agency would be a royal pain with all 32, but the draft would be worth controlling. I've thought about doing the first round or two for all teams, then delegating all CPU picks to the CPU. Buttoning through the draft would take a while but probably be worth it for your sim franchise.

I was thinking about doing the same. Control the draft the first round and then give back the control to the cpu, or maybe ill just do it for a few teams to save some time.
cpu drafting is pretty bad expecially in the first round.

You can also resign any player you want. So big names don't leave too early. Luck, newton etc.

Thanks for all the testing and info so far guys. Its tedious, but if its all we have to work with for now, then so be it. I'll be slowly playing all my preseason games in my cfm since I skipped madden last year and am very rusty lol. This work around will work just fine for the first season, but hopefully the issue is patched before that because I would much rather just control my own team and let the cpu handle the rest.

Hey guys, I ran a test based off of angel's solution. I'm trying to find a way to limit the number of teams that need to be user controlled. In this video, rather than change teams to "run balanced", I have left some with their default playbooks. The results look okay, I'm going to try a sim where I don't change any schemes and only alter the playbooks of the teams that passed for over 4000 yards last year. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other suggestions. Thanks to the OS forum members for working on this, I'm just hoping to add to the discussion

I just did a sim this way. Looks really good. Only had 1 player with 32 sacks and 1 with 28.
also don't really know what a realistic number is for defensive rds but im my sim there were only 12, seem a bit low to me.

How is 32 Team control set up this year for PS4?

Can I set one profile for the USER team and use a separate CPU Profile for the "other 31" like in The Show?

Change all schemes to vertical offense. Change all playbooks to either " pass balance" , "balance" , or " run balance". When you play a certain team just put it back to " coach playbook". When playoffs start, change all schemes back to their original. So FA and draft is fine. When new season starts change all schemes back to "vertical"

Angels, we still have to create 32 coaches right?

also don't really know what a realistic number is for defensive rds but im my sim there were only 12, seem a bit low to me.

DL so wait u had a player with 32 sacks alone? Or a team? If a player wow is there pass blocking in the sim engine?

Man the amount of effort that has to be put into Madden's CFM to just get it to play decent.. and then when they patch it guys will have to rework around that. Valiant effort though guys and I hope yall find a solution.

You don't have to create coaches. You can keep the originals. You just have to control their schemes.

No 1 player Cameron Jordan if I'm right had 32 sacks and clay Matthews had 28.
There was 1 player with 20 and a few with 18. It's not to big of an issue though

Well considering the current NFL sack record belongs to Michael Strahan, who just got inducted into the HOF, with 22.5 sacks. . . that's actually a big messed up deal in the sim engine.

2 player got an insane amount of sack. After that it seems pretty normal.
It's not realistic at all. But it's not a game breaker like all the other broken sim stats. It's annoying for sure. But I can live with that one for now.

I'll take two very good NFL players having 2 freakish sack seasons than Peyton Manning and Tom Brady playing to the equivalent of Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert.
