Is anyone getting excessive network timeouts in online games?

It started halfway through the Madden 25 cycle on xbox 360 (before that I never had any problems) and it is now continuing to happen on Madden 15 on ps4.

I will experience some lagging/hitching here or there in gameplay but it's never overly bad. I don't experiance any problems on any other games on any system. This is getting uber frustrating as it prohibits me from taking part in any head to head or online cfm modes period (and yes the removed for network timeout happens everytime).

I plan to buy a new modem to see if that remedies the situation cause I've heard rumors that it might be the modem I have causing it but that's all it is, is a rumor.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or better yet have any solutions. I'm not sure where else to ask cause at this point it isn't a glitch so glitch thread isn't applicable and it is only Madden I am having the problem with (so if a better suited place to ask please let me know).

My setup is:

Provider: Comcast
All in one modem: TC8305C
Download: 25mb (on ps4, on computer 55mb)
Upload: 5 mb (on ps4, computer 11)
Ping: 8
Using ethernet cord into ps4

PlayStation Network has been having issues today/last night. Maybe that's your cause?

I've thought about that and though it is possible, most people have been able to finish at least one game. All the games I've played I've been disconnected within the first half. Generally halfway through the second quarter. Plus having experianced this on 360 I have a feeling the problem is much deeper than that.

Yeah I have everything up to date, I probably also should have mentioned that I have the digital copy but I doubt that has anything to do with my problem (I had the physical copy of madden 25).

PSN has been going down sporadically today supposedly due to more DDoS attacks like on Sunday.

Just played 3 games in a row that I was winning, 2 mut season games and 1 head to head ranked game. Both network timed out and handed me the loss in the 3rd quarter.

Yeah this has been my experience pretty much.

Also another thing to add, I can play Mut games and online cfm against the computer with no problems whatsoever. It's only when I play against other people.

Yesterday was about 50/50, I had a couple good games and a couple bad.

Today I tried 3 games that were all unplayable lag before getting disconnected.

..... As I'm kneeling the ball out for a comeback victory -_- beyond pissed right now. What's strange is the guy I was playing was chatting with me and we both were talking through the whole thing. This needs to be patched immediately......

Tried 8 times to finish a preseason CCM game since yesterday.

Both of us get a desync error in 1st or 2nd quarter.

The connection before the desync is great. Really responsive on the controls and no lag. And then it just dies.

I played my first unranked game today made it through whole game no problems.

I changed my modem yesterday and competed 3 head-to-head games in a row (unranked) without any interruptions. Hopefully this is a sign that I've fixed the problem.
