I got it on PS4, I think it's excellent, the defense is maybe too good though.

I've only played 2 games but I think I'm in love. Sure there still some quirky animations and whatnot but this game is finally fun again. Only little buggy thing I saw was I was in offense with the packers and after a play the camera showed the coach and Aaron Rodgers was on the sideline behind the coach lol

Other then that I have seen some great things and am finally having fun against the cpu

Defense is great, music is really good. I stayed up until 3 last night just playing the skills trainer. I applaud the madden team for the work they have done with the skills trainer. It actually made me a better madden player. I knew the football strategy stuff but the tackling and controlling linebackers, as well as user catching tutorials made me way better. This game so far is really good from a gameplay standpoint.

Played my first game as the Pats against the Packers. Lost 14-13 on a TD with 3 seconds left. 6 minute quarter length.

Better than Madden 25 but some of the player models are still off. Tom Brady looks awful in the game.

Pathetic. I took a year off Madden so this is my first time on NG. Must say, I'm not impressed in the least. Plays like a herky-jerky PS3 title. It's NOTHING like the huge leap the FIFA or NBA 2K series took when moving to NG.

More than 25 years later and still no punt or FG blocks. In two full games and a portion of another, I have yet to see a single penalty of any sort called.

I do like the community play calling feature, but other than that I feel like I'm playing a high-res version of Madden 2000.

Well, yes. NBA 2K14 is probably the best sports game currently on the market.

If you played Madden 25 you'd be impressed with this game. But I guess that just speaks to how bad Madden 25 was. I agree that EA hasn't done much to take a big leap with Madden on next gen.

Oh god here we go....try firing up Madden 2000 then come back and say that.

Who hurt you? 2k14 was an epic fail of a game with some nice graphics and FIFA looked no different then a ps3 version

I haven't played yet, but I've seen this mentioned a few times. I hope some players can cut on a dime, like some RBs and WRs. There are many players in the NFL who can cut on a dime.

I've only played the opening mini-game and some of the skills trainers, but I'm really blown away so far.

Random impressions:

It's hard to overstate how beautiful this game looks on the PS4. Player models and uniforms are incredible.

Players seem to have way more weight and physics-based momentum this year.

The pocket resembles that other unmentionable title far more than any Madden game I know.

Passing really seems much closer to a timing-based model this year.

The skills trainer is FUN!!!

The concepts tutorials are REAL FOOTBALL!!!

I can't wait to get through all the tutorials and into some games . . .

Just got the XboxONE/Madden 15 bundle, only played one game so far with my Cowboys and I got SHUT OUT for the first time ever in Madden by the Redskins, could not score! In the past I could go 1-2 years without playing Madden then hop on the newest version of the game and beat the cpu without much effort.

When/if they add FIFA like foot-planting/running, add wr/db interactions, add real gang tackling, and overhaul all the animations/make movement more fluid and realistic then we may have a doozy on our hands.

Really enjoyed the game for the first time in a long time. Only a couple things I didn't like, cpu didn't call timeout to kick a field goal towards the end of the half instead they let the clock run out.
And too many canned animations tackles that defy the laws physics, too many Tight ends and big running backs getting laid on their backs by db's.
Will give further impressions once I play more games, took tonight and tomorrow night off just for this.

ive only played 5 games in ultimate as of now.

gameplay feels a lot better

still too many ints

don't know its my samsung bravia but the graphics arent as good as i thought

sammy watkins might be the greatest madden player in history

gotta get used to the whole camera adjusting thing

that new kick meter thing is cool one you know how to use it

I noticed in the ratings:

Pass block strength, pass block footwork, run block strength, run block footwork were removed.

Consistency and confidence were also removed in the player traits.
