PS4 install time?

I'm limited to training and SEA vs CAR, can't play anything else. The games been installing for 1.5 hours, with 1 hour 40 mins remaining on an increasing timer. Is this normal? Went from 1 hour 40 mins remaining to 1 hour 46 mins remaining in about 3 minutes. Any help?

By the time I got the ball with the Panthers, the game was fully installed.

I'd say delete the install and start from scratch, it shouldn't take that long.

Does the game download incrementally? Cause I got digi download and this is ridiculous. I don't want to have to download all over again.

If you bought the digital version, then it's just your internet slowing things down. If you bought the hard copy and it is taking that long, something is wrong with the disc, PS4, or it's just an odd occurrence.

I can play the SEA CAR game, but it says installing still. I think it's totally downloaded, just installing to disk now. I get 5mps through the PS4 it's not my internet.

when I did mine I had the digital pre order where it would pre load and then all the bs happened with the DOS attack and I couldn't play no games so somebody told me to turn off internet and log out of psn.


We'll I did all that but with psn still down I couldn't log back into psn so the next morning after work it was finaly back up so I logged in and had to do it manually.


so then everything was loading and installing but I noticed it seem to be taking forever then it got to like 40% and then it shot off like a rocket and it was loaded and installed in about half hr. I was worried because it first said 3 hrs then jumped to 4 hrs.

Ah, I'm not sure on digital downloads bro- I'm a physical copy havin' son-of-a-gun in the event something like that happens.

5mbps is not very fast.. That's megabits not bytes. Don't let that think your downloading 5megabytes every second. It would take quite a while to download with that speed but shouldn't be hours and hours.

Who is your internet provider? If it is Time Warner than you may need to put in some manual settings when setting up internet connection. I had the same issue until I updated the DNS settings.

5mbps is not very fast.. That's megabits not bytes. Don't let that think your downloading 5megabytes every second. It would take quite a while to download with that speed but shouldn't be hours and hours.

If you have time warner try this. It helps!

Change your PS3/4 internet connection setting to manual.
Use the default option for everything except when you get to DNS servers
Input any two out of these four DNS addresses for your primary and secondary entries:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

So you pay for 40 megabits per second internet and your PS4 is using all of it?

You can check if it is still downloading by going to your dashboard and pressing options on the game and then clicking on information. There will be a spot that says download status. If its done it will say completed. If not it will show how much its at.

Yeah I figured that out. Deleting and reinstalling everything helped immensely. Took maybe 2 hours for everything.

Mine installed within 30 seconds. then it needed an update so I closed out of Madden. Updated within about 1 minute. Played fine.
