Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Hi guys, noticed this post and decided to get involved. Massive arsenal fan but can't play with Arsenal on CM as it seems unrealistic buying the best players as Wenger rarely does so. (I always play as though Wenger is the boss).
Therefore I started playing as Nottingham Forest as they're a local team, great diverse team and Lansbury is a boss of a Centre mid and used to play for Arsenal.
WORLD CLASS
6 MIN HALVES
SLIDERS ALL ON NORMAL
NO FINACIAL TAKEOVER
NO YOUTH SCOUTS
I'm in my third season and absolutely loving it.
1st Season: Promoted to the PL, think I ended up second overall or 1st, QPR was closest anyway... Won the Capital one cup as well.
2nd Season: Ended up 6th in the PL. Brilliant result, a number of players outperformed for me and I think I could of gone further, however Bafetimbi Gomis was awful, sold him in Jan after only six months. I then bought Connor Wickham. Benzia (My main striker) then became injured with a broken foot and Wickham had to carry me for a good 1/3 of the season, which although he is a good striker, Benzia has that extra quality to create something out of nothing. I also didn't make it out of the group stage of the euro cup, missed out by one point.
3rd Season: Second in the leauge and I have three games left. I'm three points behind Chelsea and have Liverpool and Arsenal left to play. I'm also in the F.A Cup Final against...CHELSEA! They have signed Lewandowski and he has over 40 goals in the season for them... figures! I manages to sign Adrien Rabiot, John Stones, Marcos Lopes and a few loanees for this season. Also managed to get Delph on a pre contract. Loaned Rabiot and Chalobah out as well. AWESOME! I'm playing tonight and I'm praying I can clinch my first world class leauge triumph. I have never been able to do it with the following; Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Reading.
THE PLAYERS I RECCOMEND TO YOU GUYS WILL IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES DRASTICALLY, THEY ARE JUST SO GOOD.

Press Conference
Q: It is safe to say that the turnaround is complete. After a solid showing last month, you came into January and took 12 of the 15 available points, and won two F.A. Cup matches as well. Many are praising your tactical genius as Morecambe looked to be on their way to the bottom of the table just two months ago. What do you have to say to the supporters who started to doubt during that stretch?
A: You never know what circumstances are going to present themselves when it comes to football. We were playing good team football until Abel Molinero went down and his injury really hindered what we were trying to do. Injuries, for the most part, are only temporary. Any supporters who started to doubt during that time period need to re-evaluate themselves and see how much of a true supporter they really are.
Q: You have advanced through two rounds in the F.A. cup this month, including a victory of Premier side Swansea City. These impressive performances certainly have to give the club confidence going forward in this competition. How serious of a chance do you think Morecambe has in this competition?
A: I believe that we are always a team that give it our all on the pitch. No club is going to find us as an easy out. We will push each club we play to their limits, and hope that we are the better side that day.
Q: While the transfer dealings were minimal, especially in terms of immediate help, they appear to have been enough considering recent results. There is also an added bonus of having two players joining in the future. What can you tell us about your incoming signings?
A: First of all, Islam Feruz has filled the role I was envisioning perfectly. He and Marcus Marshall have been a terror for opponents on that right wing, and it is certainly a luxury to have both of them available for selection. I can't expand too much on the other players as they are still under contract with other clubs. But we are very much so excited to have players of their quality coming in to join us in the future.

I like the signing of Chambers! Hoping to get him in Torquay when I have the money, so most likely if I can get to the PL. Also, expect an update soon on that. Only a couple games left in the month.Comment

PRESS CONFERENCEQ: Mr. Orlov, one games left and one point ahead. What is your game plan?
A: Win.
Q: Any tactics to that?
A: Win.
Q: So how do you win?
A: You win. Enough said.
Torquay United 1 - 1 Dagenham
D'Ath 16'
Cruise 59'
Q: Mr. Orlov, you have just drawn, but you have won the league! Portsmouth have drawn 1-1 with Mansfield Town to give you the one point edge. You said your strategy was win, but you didn't win the game. What happened?
A: We won.
Q: It ended in a 1-1 draw..
A: It also ended in a 1 point win. We win. We're headed to League 1! Maybe now Sandler won't demand 120k on wages...
So there it is. We won the league. Technically, part time left back, part time movie star Tom Cruise scored the goal that put us there, but I give credit to Luke James. He smashed it across his body, and the keeper made a really nice save, but Tom Cruise was there for the header on the rebound. So I guess some credit does go to the movie star, but let's be honest. Luke James finished as the top scorer with 30 goals. It wasn't close. The next high was John Marquis, our winter transfer, with 23. Then below him Lee Barnard with 17. Gornell finished with 16. I hope you enjoyed.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Congatulations on winning the league! It will be interesting to see if you can get through League 1 easily like everyone else. Good luck!
I hope this is the start of you getting to the top of the table. Nice to see your transfers work out well.
Hello, my new rival. You made some interesting transfers. Are you playing in the CL in the first season?
Enjoy the freedom of signing anyone you want with your so-called Basque club...
Whoa, thank you! Did you mean a club legend or a legend of this thread? If you meant the latter I disagree. But anyway, post the career here! I'm sure we'll enjoy it!
I agree with #FatherJamie2014. There's no need to fight for teams. You can always use the same teams at different times. Let's just be all friends here and the next thread will reach many more pages. And for everyone who's like "Wait a minute, didn't you just fight with Chico?", I think neither one of us was that serious. Right, Chico? RIGHT?!
So... what are we going to do for Fifa 15's thread? Keep posting here, ask for a name change or make a new thread?Comment

In an off FIFA note. Truly mixed feelings about Liverpool's group. Real Madrid (damn), Basel (I can deal with that) and Ludogorets (**** yes. Although if Moti is in goal we're in trouble)
For Arsenal, tough group. Gala, Dortmund and Anderlecht. Chelsea, relatively simple. Sporting, Schalke and Maribor. Man City. Group of death. Bayern (again), CSKA (again) and Roma.
I think we will see all 4 english teams in the last 16. My predictions.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
digging the moves here bro
It's really starting to crack me up that some many people struggle to beat Dagenham lol but congrats on winning League 2! I'm not sure whether you'll be past the transfer window by the time I post my roster review (MAYBE tonight, probably Friday) but there are some guys on there you might wanna take a look at, especially Ogogo if CDM or even RM is a spot you are trying to shore up.
Welcome, cool CM, would had loved to see your players' overall rating. Anyways, can you scout in Hungary? I got an offer, and if you can scout there I'm likely to accept it.

Welcome to spain Mister Griffin. How are you feeling here in spain?
Im doing good thanks, I have been settled in and getting used to the warm weather, In holland its mostly rain, so it is weird to have so much sun.
Lets talk about the transfer window and the squad, How did it go?
We got some good signings in the summer, With the likes of Enzo Perez and Fernando we really strenghtened the midfield. The team is getting along really well, and we are trying to fix our bad points.
You got 3 Points out of 3 Games, Thats not really great is it?
No it is not, We are having difficulties finding our Rythim, I found that vs Getafe we played really well, the score didnt show that. vs Atletico we just got outclassed by Diego Costa & Co. They are a difficult team to beat, Im proud that we still scored 2 times on Courtois.
Thats everything for now.
Since my team (Feyenoord) is playing tonight, I will probably wont post an update anymore. Since i cannot find the time to play all those games.
And the atletico madrid game was from the First of september, but i figuered i had to show you, anyways, EnjoyComment

Comments: Nice two months. We won a good amount of matches, suffering a lot but we won, and that's the important thing. With the changes made in the winter transfer market, I hope we can reach 1.Bundesliga. We're all very similar teams, so we need to win next game against Köln, and open a good gap between the two direct promotion positions, and the third.
Jesé starts working very nice, and Marrone has increased a bit the level in defense, while Dodô is much better than any other LB I have. The problem is that some veteran players are starting to decrease their qualities, but with new young people I think we can still maintain the level, or increase it. We'll see what happens, now difficult matches are coming...

Yeah. Tbh Group C is so wide open, all 4 could win. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Benfica don't make it through after selling their core. I opted for Porto cuz their signings have been boss. Tello on a 2 year loan is a great dealComment
