The controls are different. Now the right stick can toe drag and do most of the other skills by itself. Use left stick and right stick together for more advances cuts. Works well.

Gah...why can't we map our own button layouts yet? I'd love to play it like the hockey games I grew up with (a la X is pass, square is shoot)! I'm not the biggest fan of the modern control scheme.

The controls are different. Now the right stick can toe drag and do most of the other skills by itself. Use left stick and right stick together for more advances cuts. Works well.

Yeah the advanced cuts/pullbacks are actually pretty complex to pull off consistently. I consider myself a very good deker/stickhandler (not in a cheesey way) in these games, so hopefully when I master them, it actually provides me with a real advantage over those who can't.

so it looks like you still can't make on the fly line changes using hybrid controls, similar to how it didn't work correctly in nhl14?

You can. The demo has practise mode

Yeah i know the demo has practice mode, but i can only use hybrid controls in demo practice mode

I use skill stick controls in practice mode. Dunno why you would be stuck in hybrid mode. Did you search this issue? Are others having issues?

when i choose practice mode... theres no option to switch to skill stick. its always hybrid. i even try switching to skill stick in game mode then going to practice mode and its hybrid again
