    | Time to Pay the Bills | A Buffalo Bills Franchise |

BUFFALO, NY -- The death of long-time owner Ralph Wilson has thrust the future of the Bills in Buffalo into question. The fan base and current ownership group want assurance that the team will remain in Buffalo. However, Buffalo is near the bottom of smallest markets in the league, and that's less than enticing for potential buyers. So, the best way to prove to potential owners that the Bills can continue to thrive in Buffalo is to put a young, winning team on the field that can provide a solid foundation for the future.

The Bills have begun addressing those issues, moving up in this past draft to select play-making wide receiver Sammy Watkins, giving second-year quarterback E.J. Manuel a serious down-field threat while also providing running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson with some more breathing room, as opposing defenses will need to respect the field-stretching abilities of Watkins. The offensive line has struggled mightily in recent years, but the Bills were able to snag a trio of rookie lineman in the draft.

The move to improve the offense is also expected to take some pressure off a defensive unit that was in the top-10 last year. Reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year, linebacker Kiko Alonso, is expected to take leaps and bounds in his game and lead the Bills defense out on the field every week. Defensive end Mario Williams returns as well, coming off a dominate 13 sack season, which lead the team. Buffalo's defensive line is among the best in the league, Kyle Williams (10.5 sacks), Marcell Dareus (7.5 sacks), and Jerry Hughes (10 sacks) all return to the defensive line this year, alongside Mario Williams. With that group intact, the Buffalo defense should be able to cause turnovers in bunches.

The youth movement is important on a few levels, including the future of the Bills in Buffalo and head coach Doug Marrone and his staff. With a new ownership group on the horizon, it will make it extremely difficult for the new brass to fire Marrone if the team shows improvement from its 6-10 2013 campaign. Stay tuned.

Thanks man. If EJ can get it together, I think this team can make it to the playoffs. I'll be following your franchise, too.

New owner Bobby Boucher says high quality H2O will be served at practices and during games.

Football hero Boucher buys Buffalo Bills, becomes next owner

BUFFALO, NY -- Move over Donald Trump, move over Jon Bon Jovi. Football icon Bobby Boucher has come to an agreement that would make him the second owner in Buffalo Bills history, only to the late Ralph Wilson. It had been widely speculated that a group led by either Trump or Bon Jovi would purchase the Buffalo Bills, but the Wilson family decided to bring in a football mind to run the organization.

Details of the deal are unknown at the moment, but reports surfaced that Boucher "spent close to ten digits." And there you have it, folks. The Buffalo Bills are now proudly owned by the beloved Bobby Boucher. When asked how he was gonna help turn this team around, Boucher commented, "We're gonna open up the whole can of whoop-a** on 'em."

With the preseason finally coming to an end and the position battles fought, Mr. Boucher's first task at hand will be assisting the decisions in shaping up the final 53-man roster.

Something odd happened when I was simming the preseason. For some reason, the CPU cut rookie linebacker Randell Johnson and signed a QB (I released the QB) but when I went to look for Johnson, he was gone. Not a free agent or on another team. Poor guy won't get a chance with me lol.

The Bills sent lineman Kraig Urbik to Tampa Bay in exchange for a conditional 4th round pick.

Bills send Urbik to Tampa; Claim Smith off waivers

BUFFALO, NY -- The Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a trade that would send offensive lineman Kraig Urbik to Tampa in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Bucs are dismantled up front, so a trade for Urbik makes sense for both clubs. Urbik is coming off a fine 2013 campaign, but fell out in favor of the younger offensive lineman in Buffalo. In Tampa, Urbik figures to start right away on a unit that is among the worst in the league.

In unexpected news, rookie linebacker Randell Johnson has announced his retirement from the league. The rookie no longer wishes to pursue a career in the NFL. The team placed him on the inactive/retired list.

In the wake of Johnson's retirement, the team was able to claim rookie linebacker Telvin Smith off waivers from the Jaguars. The Jaguars made Smith a 4th round pick out of Florida State in this past draft, but was unable to secure a roster spot. Jacksonville was hoping Smith fell through waivers unclaimed so they could stash him on the practice squad, but Buffalo swooped in quickly for his services.

Kind of strange about your rookie LB, but nonetheless, good luck, the Bills certainly need it.

Yeah, I really don't know what happened with him, very strange. Thanks, man. They have a pretty good defense and I'm going to try and just manage the game with Manuel.

Also, just a note for this franchise, I played the first 2 games on All-Pro but I will be playing on All-Madden from here on out. I kind of wanted a little more of a challenge.

Wow! Excellent 3-0 start in strong fashion, hoping I can lead my Bills to a similar start, kind of a do or die year.

Haha thanks, man. I love playing with this defense, it's a lot of fun. The offense is definitely run first. I like where I stand, I'll post a couple more games.
