Best sliders for CFM defensive player?

Hey guys, I created a MLB for the redskins. I've been using different sliders trying to find something that sim based w realistic stats.

I'm confused on how the sliders apply to CFM player? If I'm a defensive player, is the CPU sliders all I need to worry about? Does the player sliders effect when I'm simming when the offense is on the field?

Can anyone shed light on this? Any recommended sliders? Any help would be great!

I am curious about this. I have 3 different Offline CFM Player Mode defensive players. I am lucky if my simmed offense gets 10 points in a game. Using defaults on all pro for now. Hard to compete when your only points are def scores.

    Ideas?

I'm working on this right now. I am making progress but the sliders do not change the way the game plays. I'm pretty sure the sliders change tendencies, not actual ability.

Do any sliders affect your teams simulated offense when playing CFM player mode on defense? I made a safety for the Broncos and even they could barely manage 10 points or any offense. When I say "simulated" I mean, you're locked in as your defensive player (always on CFM Def Player Mode) and you're off the field and you click the option to simulate until you're back on the field. I've never seen more pathetic offenses. Hardly gaining any first downs and turning the ball over alot. I'm not asking for easy mode but if my offense can barely put 10 points on the board, its gonna be hard to win. And it sucks because I love playing defense only locked in to my player.

So, nothing can be replicated. I thought I was getting close and then while playing the Broncos I "hold" payton to a 114 rating (which isn't out of the realm of possibility) but then I knock the old man out of the game and Zac Dysert proceeds to light me up. I cannot find sliders or plays that will stop the dink and dunk passing nor can I stop the cpu from having a terrible running game.

I'm still working on this but it isn't looking too great. The sliders affecting more than 1 trait is really causing a roadblock.

*motomofo* I believe so, I've had Le'von Bell go off for like 300 yards but the problem is that when I put the CPU sliders to where my offense is normal, the CPU's offense is pathetic. I have not found a balance yet. But most of the issues are stemming from me being able to get 5+ sacks a game, if I were playing a non-pass rushing position it might be easier to balance.

            • I let the CPU call plays for me (I'm a DE, I don't call plays)

            Skill Level: All-Madden
            Quarter Length: 9 min
            Min Play Clock: 16 seconds
            Game Speed: Normal
            Min Threshold: 30

Player Skill sliders: All on default

            CPU Skill
            QB Accuracy: 3
            Pass Blocking: 4
            WR Catching: 42
            Run Block: 59
            Fumbles: 50
            Pass Defense Reaction Time: 50
            Interceptions: 37
            Pass Coverage: 50
            Tackling: 50

            PENALTY SLIDERS
            Offside: 40
            False Start: 99
            Holding: 99
            Face Mask: 52
            Def Pass Interference: 50
            Off Pass Interference: 99
            Clipping: 99
            Intentional Grounding: 1
            Roughing Passer: 50
            Roughing Kicker: 1

Personally, I do not know how much the penalty and skill sliders are affecting the game. I do know that QB accuracy does not in any way affect play calling or aggressiveness. I also noticed that the biggest thing to affect the CPU is their difficulty level. At all-pro I had the dink and dunk problem. At all-madden this is almost totally gone.

My last 4 games have been 31-27 loss, 17-14 loss, 35-24 win, and a 16-3 loss.

Against the Bengals dalton went off on me for 400 yards with a 8.3 YPA
Against the Ravens flacco had 230 yards at 7.6 YPA
Against the Browns manziel had 223 yards for a 7.0 YPA
Against the Rams bradford had 157 yards and 6.0 YPA

On all-pro the YPA was around 4.6 or so.

Now, I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but it is worth a shot. Though I have a feeling that the CPU makes decisions based on the player you are controlling and I am a DE.
