Fanning your zone

I saw a video of a guy fanning and spreading out his zone coverages pre snap. I've went through the tutorial, pretty sure have tried every button but I am not seeing it. Is it In the game, and I'm talking about the Xbox one

Y then press up on the right stick?

I'm not home but I believe that just covers over the top and doesn't actually spread the zone across the field.

If you watch the video, you can see the zone completely spreads out. Maybe what you're saying is correct, I'll tinker with it more this afternoon

He said double base align which I'm sure means man align.

Its Coverage Audible, Base Align twice.

So press "Y" then right on Left Stick, Then Hit "Y" again and right on left stick.

Simply put, its called "double base align"

Yeah just watched the video. It's a double base align adjustment to fan out those zones. Basically what the guy above me said.

What's the significance of doing this? Does it cover more area?

Thanks guys, I have it working for me now... It defintely helps spread out your lbs on certain coverages so you help defend crossing routes or extended slants.

I haven't seen my zones change at all and keep trying to do this.

Isn't it supposed to just be Triangle and right on the left stick, Triangle and right on left stick?

It's a double base align. Do the base align audible twice. It's been explained in the thread already.

I understand and I have been doing that, but have not seen any changes at all to how my D sets the zone.

Are you assigning all your LBs to the hook zone? This is explicitly to spread out players after you've audible their assignments to be different from the called play. If you don't change the called play you don't need to do this.
