Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
At this point this is definitely not a next gen game, but a mistake, in all way, it is a useless product in all way you look at. A completely mistake, im sad about that but I say that some time ago, the lacks of information was absolutely a sign that something goes wrong with this series. And at this point I will cancel preorder, maybe I will continue a carrer on nhl14, there is not any features in my opinion that worth it.
This series is actually dead.

Man Rammer better do some damage control on this there really hasn't been much from his camp in regards to BAGM and BAP patch plans and what we can expect. They screwed the pooch by not informing us on ANYTHING and now the damage is being done and might be irreversible.
The lackluster BAGM is killer, though he said they were going to patch it. No drafting control is ridiculous, scouting looked good from the video I saw though.Comment

apparently...in GM mode, there is scouting, but no drafting....drafting is done automatically by the CPU. How is that for a total kick in the nads?
Come on EA...really? I am not buying this frigging turd. No friggin way.
This must be the GM mode features they were planning on adding later in a patch? I mean no drafting, come on.Go Yankees

Couple this with the few articles of bad PR I saw on yahoo about the game being racist/sexist, and I think EA may be doing the damage control with some firings.Go Yankees

Well with the lack of season mode, battle for the cup, and also the option to edit players. That all but confirms my decision to pass on this years game. Headed to gamestop to cancel my preorder...Comment

While I don't want to be the person to wish for someone's job termination, I think it may be time for some fresh faces to come in. Some new, creative minds could really do this series some good.PS4 | jamiedallaireComment

Whatever, I will not throw my money at EA on a wing and a prayer that they patch it. Even if they do, how long will it take them to do so? One month, 2, 3? I am not waiting, F-that, they had 2 friggin years to work on it. They barely touched the game from 13-14 and now we get this. naw man, not this time.Comment

I think there's more they can improve on, such as collison detection. I think it's a matter of if it's possble. I remember a while ago Redshirt mentioned along the lines that one year during testing they programmed the gameplay to where sticks collided with players and other objects and to them it would not have been a fun experience to casual players. I believe there's a lot of room for improvements but as I mentioned before, I dont think they know how to do it yet, e.g. AI inprovements.
Could you post more about this penalty issues? How many are you getting, how long are you playing per period, slider you use for penalties, how many AI penalties are being committed for both teams etc.? Thanks in advance.

Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
A 5-4 score when shots were like 22-15 is not good. And I don't shoot just to shoot, I carry in and set up, usually cycle, work it back to the points if need be, and sometimes settle for a shot. Never carry in and fire unless the clock is running out.
When I set up as much as I do and have time on attack numbers of 8 mins to 4 mins I should draw a penalty or two. You maxed out the slider to get your results on 10 minute periods. I will try bumping the penalty slider up for this game and see what happens.Comment

Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I'm like many of you. This was a day one purchases for me but many of the things being discussed here are starting to make me question that.
These are basically game-killers for me if they're true, so can anyone confirm or comment on the following?
1. Can we at least edit players jersey numbers? Or at the very least are retired jerseys still in the game so rookies and traded players don't wear retired numbers?
2. Can we really not play AHL games? And if not, do we at least have AHL teams where we can place players not on the NHL squad? And if we can, do those players accumulate stats in the minors?
3. Can we really NOT draft our own players? Does the CPU do it automatically?
If all of these prove to be the case, then I am going to do the unthinkable... not buy NHL this year. It will be the first time ever for me as I've owned every copy since NHLPA 93 on the Sega Genesis.Comment
