Online CFM question (2 players max)
Quick question. If JUST me and my buddy are playing in an online CFM. And we each chose ONE team from the AFC and ONE team from the NFC... When our teams are faced up against other teams that neither one of us has chosen. Can we log into our CFM and use the other team that their are up against that week? Or will we only be able to play each other when we are face to face with the teams we have selected? Thanks in advance for your help!Tags: None -

Re: Online CFM question (2 players max)
In an online Connected Franchise, you may only ever control the team your character belongs to. So if your character is Jim Harbaugh and your friend's character is Doug Marrone, you may only ever control the 49ers and your friend may only ever control the Bills. There's no scenario where you may control another team while playing as the selected character.
You may switch teams at any time by retiring your character, which will allow you to choose a new character from any team, created or existing. This could be use to allow either of you to jump around characters during weeks where your two teams are not squaring off head-to-head. This is a fair amount of legwork, but it can be done.
Fair warning - if you retire a character who was not created, he will not be removed from the league (so if you retire from Jim Harbaugh, the CPU will assume control of Harbaugh and the 49ers with Harbaugh remaining the head coach). If you retire a created character, however, that character is gone for good.Comment

Badboy I been waiting for this same option for years!!! I don't know why they can't make it possible for another user to control the teams you play during your schedule. And it's not just EA, nobody seems to think that some sports gamers play this way.
Back when I lived with my father, some of my best gaming memories was from him picking a team and me picking one and playing our schedules out against each other. Bring this to online!Free The Birds!!!Comment
