Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)

if I use 32-team control and choose for CPU to automatically use game prep points for all my teams, will the CPU actually use the points to progress/improve players on all 32-teams ?

Does Madden have year-to-year saves, like mlb the show does ?

    thanks.

I disagree but to each their own.

Definitely the best Madden has been in years

Still a long ways to go. It's hard for me to call a game the "best ever" for the genre when it doesn't have things like penalties working effectively and very little/no interaction between receivers and defensive backs. Not to mention the glitches that are stopping people from being able to play the game their way.

This game is a positive. It's a good step in a good direction. Hope they keep building.

While some player models look good, many look terrible. Take Aaron Rodgers. One of the best players in the league, and he looks terrible. He looks like Frankenstein with those big, wide shoulder pads.

I try editing them, but it doesn't matter. I put the shoulder pad width and height as low as it goes, and they're still huge. If you set those sliders all the way down, shoulder pads should be tiny tiny. This has been an issue awhile now.

Also, you can't have a forearm band on your players like Aaron has.

Another thing, I wish they'd have some jerseys that aren't completely tucked in. Aaron's always looks like it's not completely tucked in.

The game is certainly showing it's age, but the fact of the matter is it STILL does a number of things more realistically and more consistently than Madden imo. Madden definitely is a way more attractive game at this point, on a much more attractive system, but at it's core it still doesn't provide all the things APF did and does. Even with a mega patch, it still has some more work to do to dethrone APF.

Now would I rather play Madden than APF, hell yeah! But when Madden frustrates me I can't go back to APF, I just play nothing.....

That's not to say Madden 15 is not already a fun game, it's just that there is the potential for it to be truly special. I'd hate to see EA fail to Madden 15 by not allowing it to reach it's true potential.
Not the football game ive been waiting for, still no wr/db interactions, the gameplay is still pre-determined and ridden by canned animations, momentum still dont matter, foot-planting still not where it should be even after multiple attempts, still a TON of sliding and motion shifting, animations are horrid, lacking, and stiff, the game is still very generic with all players having the same animations and even carry the ball the exact same, and still no ball physics. Thats the football game ive been waiting for and no, I dont feel like its asking too much sense other sports games have implemented all of these things.
People need to calm down and realize that Madden 15 is mediocre compared to other sports games, its been horrible for so long that when they finally come out with a decent effort people overreact. Its looking like NBA Live 15 will surpass Madden in terms or graphics, player detail, and animation fidelity, lets keep this in perspective people, Madden 15 aint all that! And this is coming from a person thats enjoying the game after many years of not but I know the game is still far behind where it should be now.

Just imagine if 2K could have kept making NFL games, where it would be today. I get pissed just thinking about how bad we've been screwed.

How is it year after year they have time to work on the graphics, and add these funky physics which they call physics, yet do not have the time or the ability to add in debt roster creation?

Why is it that we are dealing with the same crap that we've dealt with for the last 10 releases of madden?

I don't get where this perception that the game is being poorly received, is coming from.

Honestly, I cant remember an experience where if I outcall and out execute my opponent, the right outcome occurs, the vast majority of the time. I'm shutting people out, who try to just wing it, and don't have a sensible approach to the game and clamping down on people with predictable, repeat playcalling. The CPU is a challenge, and not in a way that feels artificial and cheap, for once.

The game does need a patch to clean up some bugginess, but overall, this has been a complete treat to play.

I downloaded and played Madden 15 for a bit.

It is better than Madden 25 and is fun.

Regarding Ryan Moody, his videos are detailed and he is correct to point out some of the terrible flaws. With sliders, I assume that some of those issues can be remedied.

I did not play Madden football for seven years. After playing Madden 25 and now Madden 15 -- It is clear and obvious that the game has really improved.

Is it as good as what we SHOULD HAVE ?

No, not really too close; we deserve much better.

However, it seems that those making the game have a conscience and care about making a good game.

I feel that as long as the current Dev Team keeps making strides forward and keep progressing the game, that we should not blame them for the Years-And-Years of constant lying we received from EA Sports.

Most of the issues Moody brings up are legacy issues, the root of all evil in Madden that have been in the game for years and years, and it seems like Tiburon either can't fix them or don't want to fix them.

We will see soon enough, but you can't tell me he graphics and player detail from that trailer dont surpass Madden 15. But I should have stayed quite til we seen real gameplay.

Hit a winning field goal to end the game, and no player celebrations with the kicker and his players. Come on EA you could have done better here.

Cuts right to the end of the game where players from each team meet up to shake hands and the game ends.

4th quarter ends with a tie, and there is no audio (for about 10 seconds) while a cut scene shows the players on the sideline with the coach. When the OT starts then the audio (fan and commentary) resumes.

Replays are just plain awful in the game. The camera is zoomed in, and at times it doesn't show the entire play. They need to work on this part of the game for next year.
