Editing players on next gen

In my endless quest to find out about this game, I came across this image. It looks as if edit player was in the game at some point. Im not sure what to make of this.

If I understand correctly when people rage about not being able to edit players, they are referring to REAL players and their stats in the game, not your own created player.

A lot of focus is given by some to re-tuning player stats to make players more realistic, and make it so not every player has Crosby-level skills.

I see, so you think this is from the create-a-player option and not an actual real player editor? That would make sense to me.

It does say "Edit Player" at the top.

And even though you can choose your pads, you have no control over the colours, you are limited to whatever colours your team has and that is what decides the look of the equipment, so that is brutal in itself, it is just a sad showing.

No. Only in the gm mode can you edit jersey numbers and captaincy statuses. But nothing else.

That screen is from create a player. It even says the edit player is in a sub menu of the creation zone.

Wait, what we're saying here is that I can't even assign the correct numbers/captains to a team's roster so my "play now" rosters can be accurate to those in real life?

Correct. You can edit lines and make roster moves/transactions. I did not see an option to edit numbers or captaincy in the main menus.

Can someone please help me? i'm trying to figuring out when you trade a goalie in Be a gm which team color does he gets on the Equipment?I really dont like they took away the Edit player.Maybe the color on the Equipment changes automatic now??

There will be a patch soon. Hopefully it adds a bunch of functions. My guess it will drop before the reg season starts.

Hopefully this and improvements to the BAGM/BAP(improvements the 360 and PS3 versions got) get patched and if that is the case THEN I will buy 15

No, the CPU will automatically changes the colours...
