For me, this is pre-apha version, but will cost us more then 50$?

Imagine if EA shut down the servers for NHL 13 and 14 forcing people to buy 15 at least on old gen if they want to keep playing the online modes???

You guys think we will see a "letter to the fans" apologizing for all the missing features and how they promise to make the game better?

It concerns me that they have not said a thing yet.

And it REALLY concerns me that we have not heard the word "sorry" yet.

And the truly sad part is that the one part that they did work on, the graphics, aren't even that good. They pale, and I mean pale, in comparison to Madden, FIFA, the Show, and especially 2k.

I kind of agree with this. The graphics are good don't get me wrong but they aren't as crisp as the other sports titles.

Thanks for all the info here. Yesterday I cancelled my pre-order. I usually buy NHL every year (although last year I waited for a sale), but EA has proven to me once and for all that they just can't (or won't) put in the resources and effort, yet still want full price, plus microtransactions/DLC. Also the constant lying and misinformation (sorry..."marketing") is annoying.
This feels like simply one more half-baked release in EA's recent history...SimCity, Battlefield 4, now Madden and NHL. Maybe we'll see a SimCity/Battlefield style apology in the coming weeks. Hey, don't apologize man, just do it right the first time!
$70 CDN is outrageous for this half-baked effort, not too mention all the bugs that likely haven't been discovered yet.
The worst part is I like the new puck physics, it really seems better to me...but I don't care about the new crowd. The women look horrendous!! And I turn off PBP after three games.
I can understand not fitting in every single feature we're used to, there were a lot of modes in NHL 14. And no Custom Music, well that's on Sony, just like when PS3 came out.
But going forward they'll be hyping up NHL 16 - "oh, now we've added all new Player Edit Mode...". It's painful.
Something must have gone wrong during development. Maybe hackers formatted their server and they didn't have a backup or something? there must be a rational explanation. 😏
I'll re-evaluate it at Christmas if it goes on sale...but no way I'm paying full fare for a new puck, but missing so much else.
It'd sure be nice if another company could make a hockey game.

If you really want this game buy it on eBay. EA may have gotten one sale thanks to the original purchaser (maybe) but they won't get yours and you'll get it cheaper than used at Gamestop.

I typically purchase NHL each year, but this is an absolute joke. Thanks for saving me the money EA, I will enjoy it on something else.

This happened because you have people who work on an annual/semi-annual game that have a feeling of job security since it's expected that there will always be a next year's game and they live in a bubble. Each year they use phrases like "built from the ground up", "new physics engine", "living worlds" when all they're really doing is making some minor tweaks. It's annoying and it's a culture that EA Sports has created. It's clearly only getting worse. This feels way worse than the NBA Live b.s. that has gone on for years.

They also say things like "we listened to the community"... and decided that... NHL 14: Better fighting and NHL 94 mode. NHL 15: New commentary and 9000 person crowds.

What really pisses me off though is that the modes and features that are actually in NHL 15 haven't been IMPROVED! The UI / UX for HUT is worse than last years and now clunkier. Same with BeAGM.

NO F'N WAY AM I GIVING THEM MY MONEY!

Some people have got early copies, most of us like myself have the EA Early Access subscription (XboxOne only) so we get to play the FULL game on a 6hr timer and get it 5 days before release.

I don't have my old console or NHL14 to fall back on so NHL15 is my only way to get my hockey fix back. The cutting of so many game modes and not being able to sim past games, no game highlight replays is utterly disgusting and they've completely mislead and hyped this new next-gen for all these months only to admit EAHSL is missing only a week ago.

EA Access has backfired on them in a big way here if it's any consolation to you guys - rather than con so many of the regular NHL buyers into purchasing and then feeling ripped off the majority of you who read online have found out much sooner and saved you the purchase

As others have said, the sad thing is the gameplay in NHL15 is actually awesome, had some cracking games with mates round on the sofa already - for me it's worth purchasing as we have regular hockey nights with mates round.

If I played any of those other game modes on a regular occurrence I'd be cancelling any pre-order also.

hmm I still think that the stuff that some guys reported missing are just unacceptable in game like NHL 15... I will wait till tuesday or some Rammers official statement
