I'm totally new to Hockey this year (Real or Virtual) and I was going to get this game on Tuesday like everyone else. However, I've been reading the backlash that EA has been getting for what NHL 15 is turning out to be, and I will have to wait it out and see what and if they will patch in later.



Honestly, even from a armature hockey fan I also felt like the demo seemed very bare-boned with the menus very plain and kind of generic. Maybe because I'm used to the other sports leagues who have games with tons of stuff thrown in to keep gamers busy all year long. BTW, I was appalled by the last gen NHL 14 -15 comparison video.

Then I came here and seen what people were all complaining about, and right away remembered how bare the menu screens were and how hollow the demo felt. Yes, I know it's a demo. But even then there still seems to be a bit of weight to it like the UFC did. I totally side with the fans here who got their game short changed this year for whatever reasons that may be. As much as I love the Madden this year, there are a lot of bugs and glitches that are still peeving me 2 weeks later. (This has to be the buggiest madden to date IMO) I see NHL 15 has some bugs of it's own. I've already seen a madden like glitch in a YT video already, and I'm thinking this might get very interesting to say the least.

Now someone might jump up and say. "Well, it's not fair to get mad because we don't know what the story behind it is..... blazzy blah." That's the problem, we don't know why and how come it's taken up to 3 days before launch of this highly anticipated game of what the deal is. Also as to why fans have to scout out EA's Early Access to inform other paying customers/fans and possible NHL's future hockey fans (me) of your product because we are to be left in the dark.

I'm not bashing EA, I'm calling the cards that I see laid out before me and other fans, and if they or someone doesn't like it. Then hey, they are entitled to their opinion just like I'm entitled to mine.

Now with my first impressions rant out of the way. I do have one question.
I've read that there will be no other leagues in the game this year, yet in the team select mode (demo and full game) there is a button for "Random League" (Y). Are they available but just in exhibition mode?

Bishop's attempt to dive and save that puck instead of moving left and kicking out the left leg is a perfect example of why the goalie AI has been, and continues to be awful. I don't need diving saves every 3 shots, EA, i just want a goalie that knows how to stop a puck when he should be able to.

Am I the only one still contemplating getting this? I'm really disappointed with EA, trust me, but I cannot live another year without hockey. My last hockey game was NHL 12.

Exactly. And after Rammer said there would definitely be a new Stanley Cup celebration this year. This celebration has been in the game for YEARS now. Looks just like a copy and paste. Rask doesn't even look like Rask and Chara being the same height as Toews... laughable. Can't really say I'm surprised though after all the many things that they've claimed to be in the game but actually aren't. NHL 16 better be one hell of a hockey game to makeup for this debacle. I'm not even sure that would really even make up for it.

Can't say it's all that surprising. EA is making some poor decisions lately, and for me personally, I'm ready to give up hope. They aren't exactly making it hard to say "no." Unfortunately, I can't imagine this will hurt their bottom line very much. They know precisely that the casual, uninformed masses will buy the game no matter what. This market sorely needs competition.

on next-gen, is it possible to set your own rosters, trade players, edit numbers....(not in GM-Mode)! Hope for an answer, because if it is in, I "maybe" consider to buy the game, otherwise....no thx!

I'm buying it. Mainly because I get it from Gamestop (Finland) for 2 euros when I bring in GTAV PS3 and Last of Us for a trade, in which both games I have already played thro and thro and don't even own an ps3 anymore!

But would I buy it for the full price of 60 euros/dollars/pounds? No f* chance in hell

I am glad they are already working on adding the draft back in in BeAGM but not sure why it could be out in the first place. So weird. I am really hoping that they patch in fantasy drafts and sim to next shift in Be A Pro and the ability to play AHL games in Be A GM. Those things should not be too hard and if they add all of those in I will be a happy man and can look past some of the other things for one year.

THX bigwill33.......so I'm ok with it, I can create players, can trade so that the rosters will be a accurate and play my tournaments (play now) on next gen......at least a small satisfaction with this (sorry if I say it) 90% bad game!
