    I might as well cover how I feel about this. First off, sad to see Welbeck go. Have a feeling he'll be good, if not, 200 pages down the line someone quotes this and makes fun of me. Eh. Walcott also sad to see go, but a crazy price, I understand why he was sold. To start off, Ronaldo, if you were going for realism, don't think you were, you blew it. Lol. However, I understand how fun Ronaldo is to play with, which brings us to the next signing in Aguero. I understand why you signed him because on FIFA he's a god that'll finish just about every chance he gets. Moving on to selling Arteta and Flamini, understand why this was done, I actually like Flamini in the game, but considering both of their ages, and the decreasing that happens in CM, I understand. Next... oh boy. Falcao for 97 million. I just about cried right here. Call me crazy, I don't really like him that much in this game, but that's just me. I think 97 million could have been used better, but again, it isn't me. Cazorla out is a bit disappointing, but you got 30 million for him, and at that time I believe he would be 30 or 31. I understand. Still disappointed to see SAAA-NTI CAZOR-LA leave. Well, that's about all I got. A good career mode for fun, I just wouldn't find it interesting

        Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

        Ok so I went home this weekend and ended up working on my Chelsea career. I ended up winning the BPL and Diego Costa had a great season for me winning the golden boot. I lost in the semi-final of the Euro Cup because it was my first and that's how the random draw went and I lost to Stoke in the FA and I lost early on in the Capital One Cup. I don't remember exactly how many goals he had because I am at school again. But some transfers I made were bringing in Lewandowski from Bayern Munich on a pre-contract offer. I also finally decided to sell Fernando Torres. I sent him in a deal along with around a 100 million for Cristiano Ronaldo. I am now moving my team to a 4-3-3. But I made a change to the scheme, I moved the RCM and LCM to the outside so they are now playing behind the wingers. I also brought in Yaya Toure to be my center mid. So my lineup is as follows.
        GK: Thibaut Courtois
        LB: Filipe Luis CB: Gary Cahill CB: Kurt Zouma RB: Ivanovic
        LM: Eden Hazard CM: Yaya Toure/Thorgan Hazard RM: Andre Schurrle/Thorgan
        LW: Ronaldo ST: Lewandowski RW: Diego Costa

        For my international management I was able to snag my dream job coaching the United States of America. In the World Cup, I was in a group with Portugal, Ivory Coast, and the Czech Republic (I think). I beat Portugal 3-1. And I simmed the next two games and ended up with 6 points and won the group. But I was eliminated in the Round of 16. So I am hoping by the time the World Cup in Russia takes place that we will be ready to handle the pressure and reach the quarter finals or even the semi finals. Aaron Johanssen (sp) scored 2 goals in the Portugal game for me.
        So all in all I am looking forward to how this next season goes for me, I think I already have it started but I don't remember. I will give an update the next time I go home about where I am in the season, if I have already started it.

          It's very understandable for fun, but the only way to realistically do it is either sign him with Man UTD, or sign him near the end of his career. Even at the end of his career may be pushing it...

            I only did it for fun. Honestly only club you can sign him with for it to be a realistic signing is ManUtd.

              I signed him with Man United once in '13 after selling Rooney, since at the time there were all the rumors of him demanding to be transferred, but I actually never made it past that preseason. Just wasn't fun anymore in those couple games I played. I realize now I should have changed formations and that might have made it more fun using Ronaldo but then again I had already won everything with United so I was getting bored.

                Press Conference

                Q: A deceiving month regarding where you stand in the table. The results looked good, but you dropped to 5th. How do you feel about your current league position?

                A: Deceiving is correct. While we may have dropped to 5th, we actually closed the gap to 2nd in terms of points. We are only 3 points behind Leicester City for the last automatic promotion spot. I think we are in a good spot to make a push upwards in the able and secure that by the end of the season.

                Q: Raul Pessao has followed up Nadir Ciftci's Play of the Month performance with one of his own. The two contribute in very different ways, but are important in their own right. How impressed with his current form have you been?

                A: There is a reason why Nadir Ciftci is leading the league in goals, and that has a lot to do with the service that players like Raul are providing for him. Raul is currently the league leader in assists, and without him, our attack would likely fall apart.

                Q: Cristian Restrepo has put in a transfer request after his playing time has decreased throughout this season. Will he be moving on in this transfer window opening up?

                A: It is disappointing that Cristian feels it is best for him to move on. He has been very important to this team over the past few seasons and all the supporters are sure to remember his 120' winner to secure the J. Paint Trophy. I have sat down with him to discuss the best move for both parties and we will be entertaining offers from other clubs once the window is open.

                  Great signing by the way! See? Totally on topic 😁
                  Yeah, that's when Michael has a talk with Carlo, like you said.

                  Aren't there still few good guotes left? I can think of don't ask me about my business, drop the gun (after killing Sollozzo), You touch my sister again, I'll kill you and they're all dead from vendettas. It was pretty cool when I came across the movie while shopping yesterday for about eight dollars. Didn't buy it, though.

                  Pretty mixed results there. Hopefully you can get a straight promotion to the PL but if that happens will you be ready for it? I hope you can get those important points against better teams. Luckily the difference is only three points.

                    Oh yeah there's more but none that would fit the way we were going lol at least none that I could think of, and trust me I spent a lot of my shift thinking about quotes that could fit haha

                    The quote I was thinking about using in response was "Revenge is a dish best served cold." But I couldn't remember if that came out in the movie or if it was only in the book.

                      How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                      December 2017 - Season 5

                      West Ham 2 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
                      WHM: Diame 13' Jarvis 89'
                      WIM: Gornell 32' Lees 42'
                      For the first time this season Sam Vokes was not selected for the first team. Terry Gornell took his place as target man while Luke James moved up from the B team to be the link up striker. The move was good, as we saw Terry Gornell more free in attack as opposed to before where he focused on linking up with midfield and finding Vokes. Vokes continues to struggle adapting to Wimbledon and has only scored 3 goals in the league so far.

                      AFC Wimbledon 2 - 2 Swansea City
                      SWA: Situ 12' Shelvey 66'
                      WIM: James 45' Hewitt 82'
                      This not good. Before the West Ham game Wimbledon were just 2 points away from a UCL spot, but after two straight draws they have dropped down to 8th place. Swansea goalkeeper Ruffier had been playing bad in recent showings but he regained his form tonight and made an astonishing 12 saves.

                      Europa League Match Day 6
                      AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Villareal CF
                      WIM: Freeman 16'
                      VIL: Austin 45'
                      Wimbledon needed a win or a draw to pass to the next round and they have achieved it! Villareal had no possibilities at all to pass to the next round as they were 6 points behind the rest of the teams, but regardless of that they came for the win tonight. A Villareal win would make things complicated for Wimbledon as they would once again depend on other results and the Spaniards were close to possibly eliminating Wimbledon as their 4-4-2 frequently outnumbered Wimbledon's 3 at the back. Fortunately, Ross Worner was at the top of his game again and kept his team in the fight. In the other fixture, Spartak Moskva eliminated Zurich by defeating them 3-0.

                      Tottenham 3 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
                      TOT: Paredes 6' 43' Chadli 51'
                      WIM: James 60' Gornell 68' Hewitt 88'
                      Yet another draw for Wimbledon, their 4th consecutive draw in the month, but it was a draw with a taste of victory since the Wombles bounced back from being 3-0 down. Tottenham's new signing Leandro Paredes frequently tested Wimbledon keeper Christophe Brown with powerful long distance shots but only one was able to beat the young Scottish goalkeeper. Later, Wimbledon star Terry Gornell dribbled past the Spurs defense and received a foul from a late tackle inside the box! The referee called the penalty and Gornell stepped up to take the shot... And Lloris blocked it! Wimbledon just don't seem confident from 12 yards anymore, and to make it worse, Spurs launched a counter attack immediately after with Paredes' speed and the Argentinian found himself 1 on 1 with the Wimbledon keeper and he scored. Gornell made up for it by scoring an incredible goal in the 68th minute. Hewitt sent a curved early cross a little ahead of Gornell's position who was being cut off by the Spurs defender Vertogen. Gornell managed to shake him and slid to just barely tip the ball towards goal, beating Lloris and getting the Dons back into the game. The Wombles kept pushing until the final minute until finally Hewitt picked up a rebound from another Gornell shot and chipped it into goal. It is clearly visible on the replay that Lloris trips Hewitt as Hewitt went to celebrate, but Hewitt didn't care and just got right back up to celebrate with his teammates. The referee did not take any action.

                      AFC Wimbledon 0 - 2 Chelsea
                      CHE: Azpilicueta 88' Matic 90'
                      For the first time since Wimbledon were promoted to the Premier League, Chelsea have won at Kingsmeadow. The ball possession was dominated by Wimbledon who did a great job in midfield and defense, but were lacking in finishing. Terry Gornell and Luke James were given no space to shoot by David Luiz and Cahill, and because of the rainy weather Courtois was able to come out and intercept any through balls as well. Chelsea sat back for the entire match until the final 2 minutes where they took advantage of a couple mistakes from the Wimbledon defense. With this result The Wombles have dropped down to 8th place on the league table.

                      AFC Wimbledon 6 - 1 Aston Villa
                      AVL: Albrighton 20'
                      WIM: Bertrand (OG) 18' Gornell 22' 31' 45' 77' Vincent 35'
                      After getting bad results this whole month Wimbledon needed a win to get some fresh air and avoid being buried in mid table. Aston Villa have been a club that complicates matches for Wimbledon, but today they were treated as a punching bag by The Dons who attacked the whole match and rid themselves of the stress accumulated from their previous results. Villa's Bertrand started the massacre by scoring in his own net while attempting to stop Hewitt from connecting with a rebound. Fortunately his teammate made up for his mistake right away by equalizing right after the kickoff. Then Terry Gornell put Wimbledon ahead again right after their kickoff too with an incredible goal. Hewitt sent a cross towards Luke James who was in between two Villa defenders and, instead of shooting, simply tipped the ball with his forehead towards an unmarked Gornell who kept his composure and shot towards goal and beat an out of position Steele. It looked like this would be a back and forth match, but 9 minutes later Gornell hit again by volleying a lob pass from Luke James into goal. Four minutes after that Jacob Murphy sent a cross looking for Gornell, but the Villa defenders headed it away towards Shaun Vincent who took a first touch shot from outside the box and into the top right corner! The Wombles kept pushing and right before halftime Terry Gornell completed his hat-trick by heading a ball into goal. Gornell would later score his 4th goal with a header again to place him firmly as the league top scorer.

                      Notable Youth Academy Players

                      Conor Marsden - ST (50-54, 73-77): This 17 year old from England may not have much potential, but he is a an exciting player due to his height: 6'4". Chavez is anxious to bring him up as he can fill in the target man position Hanson left behind, but he wants to wait at least one more season before calling him up.

                      Dean Rhodes - LB (60-64, 86-92): We thought Chavez would call this 16 year old from Scotland to the senior team but it looks like Chavez wants him to spend one more season with the U-17.

                      Jamie Mannus - CDM (49-51, 82-88): This 15 year old from Northern Ireland has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 6'5" and prefers playing as a defensive midfielder. Competition between him and Sean Archer in the U-17 is very close, with Mannus being more defensive minded. We expect great things from these two players.

                      Mark Watt - GK (56-60, 79-85): The 16 year old from Scotland looked set to be promoted last season, but Chavez decided to give him one more season with the U-17. He may be promoted next May.

                      *Matt Cameron - CAM (46-56, 71-87): The 15 year old from England is one of the most recent signings to the youth academy and we're still learning from the attacking midfielder.

                      Michael Thompson - CAM/CF (48-50, 82-88): The 16 year old from Northern Ireland has been impressing with the U-17 this year, particularly with his strength. He is hard to push off the ball, but he may not be promoted until next season.

                      Scott Stewart - LB (59-63, 80-86): The 15 year old from Scotland shows a lot of promise but may be used as a CB by Chavez due to his defensive mentality. There's a high chance he'll be promoted next season.

                      Sean Archer - CDM (50-54, 85-91): The 15 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be eligible to be registered with the senior squad until next season.

                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                      Wimbledon have progressed to the next round in the Europa League after being eliminated in the group stage last year by a very controversial mix of results. In February, they will face Borussia Mönchengladbach from Northwest Germany for a ticket to the Round of 16. The Germans come from finishing 1st in Group I with 3 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat, and a goal difference of +7.
                      17 year old Scottish RB, Ross MacDonald (54-58, 74-80), demanded to be promoted to the senior team from the youth academy and had his contract terminated moments after. Chavez's words on the matter were, "Our youth staff evaluates the players from the youth teams and then decide whether the player is ready to be called up or not. They decided that MacDonald needed at least 6 more months working with the U-17, but MacDonald disagreed and threatened to leave the academy. I stand by my staff's judgement, and wish MacDonald the best."
                      The transfer window is officially open. Chavez has not made any comments on his transfer targets, but my sources tell me that he is looking for solely for defenders. Youth graduates Matthew Saah (CM - 64) and Scott Wilson (ST - 63) have been loan listed while it is also expected that 30 year old Sam Hird (CDM - 62) will be leaving the club this month although he has not been transfer listed. We have yet to receive word on Ross Worner's future.
                      That's all for now, this has been Chico Bass reporting live from the King's College Sports Ground.
                        So many draws, I bet it's really annoying. Except for the Spurs one, that was great. Hopefully that beating of Villa is the beginning of a winning streak. I like your youth player policy, show those kids who's the boss!
                        Oh yeah there's more but none that would fit the way we were going lol at least none that I could think of, and trust me I spent a lot of my shift thinking about quotes that could fit haha
                        The quote I was thinking about using in response was "Revenge is a dish best served cold." But I couldn't remember if that came out in the movie or if it was only in the book.
                        You're probably right. I don't remember any good lines which would fit.
                        I think that line is from the book. I don't recall hearing it but you should check it.
                          Yeah it could have been better, but I'm not too disappointed in it. The draw againsg Ipswich was a shame, but it was just a late defensive lapse. Should have easily been a win and I played a game that deserved to win, but it happens. And the Brighton game is one I can live with since it was on the road.
                          Overall the team is coming together nicely and I think they are playing better as it goes on.
                          You were so close to Champions League! Still plenty of time to get back in it haha. Also WOW that Villa game!
                          Great job on advancing in Europa League. I know you had a rough start to the group stages, but you pulled it out in the end.
If you are then just kept at it and have fun that's what the game is all about. Maybe invest in a youth system to have stars in your team without taking the competition away from other teams?
                            Thought I'd weigh in on this as well.
                            I agree with the majority sentiment here that I'm not a fan of transfers like this. Too many career modes you will see people either going after crazy big names like that, or getting all the ridiculously high potential players that everyone else gets and then everyone ends up with essentially the same team 5 years down the road.
                            That's one of the things that drew me to this thread actually, it was pretty neat to watch so many people doing career modes and taking on teams with their own identity, and not just recycling the same players that everyone else was using.
                            In my Morecambe career I have made an effort to try to keep my transfers realistic and to try not to get any players that other people are already using in their career (but that won't stop me if I decide I really want the player and he's got a good value/wage). I also try to make sure that I maintain my British presence in the club as well. I've currently got 9 non-British players in my 26 man squad. That is actually a little more than I had expected, so I don't want to push that number much further beyond that. My academy has several British prospects in the waiting though.
                              I think that the whole goal of Career mode is different for everyone, People have the understanding of a FUN career, what is suppose to be a career mode with lots of cash and lots of unrealistic signings. I dissagree, A fun career for me is Realism, but mostly being a manager that Goes through ups and downs with a team.
                              I dont know if u like the INPUT of a random dutch guy, but err.. here it is:P
                                I have nothing against anyone who wants to do that if that is what they find fun. I would still read it and enjoy it just the same as long as they gave good updates on it. Anything that gets more people on this thread I will encourage. As for my own personal preference, I agree with you that I enjoy realism. A good way to grab big singings like that and still be realistic would be to choose City/PSG/Real Madrid.
                                But like I said to each their own, if someone enjoys it, and share it with us, then I will likely enjoy it as well as long as they keep giving us updates and keeping this thread active.
