Re: Relocation question
Can't as a coach. Only as an owner. -
Re: Relocation question
Right but there's no back way around it? Like create an owner the move then create coach and retire as owner. Idk?Comment

Re: Relocation question
Then, once the move was made to Houston, I retired as owner and became the coach. You'll have to create yourself as a coach after retiring, but you can play wherever you want to relocate to this way and only have to deal with ownership money issues one season.
Hope this helps...Dr Death

Re: Relocation question
Here's what I did... took over as owner of the Raiders, made the announcement we were moving to Houston to bring back the Oilers... simmed through the games but did all the stuff like scouting, etc...

Alumnus:
- Northern Arizona University
- University of North Texas
My teams:
NFL - Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals
NCAAF/B - Arizona Wildcats, Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, North Texas Mean Green
I find it amusing that the OS icon for NAU is 20 years (and three rebrands!) out of date.Comment

Re: Relocation question
That is correct. At least for me it is. Once I "sold" the team, and then became the coach, suddenly I had all my cap space available and was able to re-sign players I wanted. Where before, when I was the owner, despite the profit/loss sheet showing that I should have been up over $11 million dollars, the thing said I was $8.42 million in the negative.
So after 3 games, that's when I "sold" the team and became coach and all the money problems were gone. I had full access to all my cap space, which was something like $62.5 million bucks. That's how it worked for me anyway.Dr Death

Re: Relocation question
So i wanted to do this since i like the cardinals roster, but hate their name/unis. I just tested it by starting the relocation process, then retiring and switching to the coach, i then simmed the season as coach and moved the next off season. But unfortunately i did notice several top notch free agents hadn't even been signed (byron maxwell 89 overall is one example) so i'm currently doing a test to see if that happens on a CFM where only the coach is used, no owner at all.Comment

Re: Relocation question
Just tested it, and several YOUNG high overall free agents weren't signed, e.g. Hakeem nicks, jimmy smith, kareem jackson. So it appears that is a normal CFM issue not a owner caused issue.Comment

Re: Relocation question
If you're asking if the CPU controlled teams weren't able or willing to sign their own players, I'm only halfway through that season - playing two different seasons with two different teams in off-line - so I can answer that in a week or so.Dr Death
