Re: Destiny
Of the top of my head, the guys that are/were reg BF4 PS4 players getting this;
Myself, Jon, Patrick, eF, Mike, SIX, Bill, Al (fundraiser), Kev, Splash (be nice Mike), RG.
Apologies if I've missed someone as I'm sure I did. We had many guys in that daily rotation. You've played with most of us, there is probably about 10 - 15 of us that will be playing it on PS4.
I know you play your XB1 quite a bit as well, so if you have a good rotation of friends on that console you may want to go Xbox.
But if you do go PS4, we'll be here.
I'll be playing on ps4.Comment

Re: Destiny
Up to 17 I think are cards, which I'm not sure the point of since they will all be mostly unlocked fairly quickly anyway.
After that, most are emblems which are the background designs behind your username on most of the menus. The last 2 are shaders, which are equipment dyes.Comment

Re: Destiny
Trying to confirm a few things from those who may have more information and played the beta.
1. Are there ONLY four enemy types :sign ball:
2. Is the "Open world" really open world, i.e very expansive?
I suppose the answer to these questions will determine if I buy or not. Four enemy types don't seem like enough, and Fallout/Oblivion has spoiled me when it comes to open worlds.Comment

Re: Destiny
There are four enemy races, but each race has a hierarchy and different types of enemy. For example, the Vex is an enemy race, and they have Goblins, Hobgoblins, Minotaurs, Harpys, and Hydras.Trying to confirm a few things from those who may have more information and played the beta.

I've never played Fallout or Oblivion, so I can't compare the maps to those, but in the beta, we only played 2 of the maps. They seemed pretty big to me, plus there were places that we could not access on those maps.Comment

Re: Destiny
It is not in the same style of these open world games. I honestly wouldn't call in an open world game. The best thing to do is watch a "Let's play" of the Destiny beta on YouTube. It's difficult to explain the game fully with words haha.Trying to confirm a few things from those who may have more information and played the beta.

Re: Destiny
Unfortunately going to have to pass on this game.
I just have WAAAAY too many games (PS3 & PS4) that I haven't finished in my library to go pick this up...the hype has been broadcasted, but I have other great games that require time.
I watched almost all of the Alpha & Beta videos I could find on YouTube and wasn't impressed enough by the content to warrant an immediate purchase imo. Eventually I could see this becoming a series that could be great, and I really do hope so because the PS4 is missing a "Halo-type" of game.
I am just too afraid it may be one of these over-hyped games: i.e., Watchdogs & Titanfall.....
Hence why don't preorder anymore...Currently playing on PS5 & XBOX SERIES X:
- EA Sports College Football 25 - PS5
- MLB The Show 24 - PS5
- The Elder Scrolls V: SKYRIM - XBOX SERIES X

Re: Destiny
Tuesday seems so far away.
I'll be getting around lunch time tomorrow and hopping on around 8pm est.
Has Bungie said anything about the state of their servers? Most online launches are a disaster because their servers are overloaded because companies m, for some reason, don't worry about the amount of people trying to purchase and play their game on day one. I would assume how much Bungie has been pimping out Destiny that they can handle the thousands of people who will bombard their servers tomorrowComment

Re: Destiny
I, too, have concerns about server capacity/bottlenecking, but we'll just have to wait and see, I guess. Hopefully they have given themselves a cushion to handle extra capacity.
Got a LE off Amazon and supposed release-day delivery, but it says delivery guaranteed by Wednesday instead of tomorrow. That might throw a wrench in my plans to get on tomorrow night. Still hoping it will show up tomorrow.Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
