Dont know who's making decisions at EA this year but my goodness they are shooting some airballs. Live team tells you how excited they are about a game where they have to be forced to release a 50 second trailer. Updating Live 14 about a month before the release of your new game was the first red flag. Added to this someone finds this, and it's not told to us by a crew that wants to be different and "honest" is telling.
They cant be confident in that game and honestly, I said this last year, I had no idea how they would be. How Live 14 even got released the way it was is still quite the head scratcher. You cant turn that around in 10 months.
While the optimistic part of me hopes these added 3 weeks will give us some customization options, I laugh at that sentence as I type it. This also means of course, no news for another month... as if we had much news to begin with.
I feel like this NBA Live team the last few yrs needs to be a 30for30 lolComment

Re: NBA Live 15 Delayed Until October 28th
I'm assuming there are some things they need to touch up before release...only logical explanation I can think of...
Not a good look though, smh..Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Delayed Until October 28th
Good for them.
Their focus is clearly on making sure they put out a quality product. Making sure every feature/gameplay mechanic is functioning as it should and tested thoroughly.
If I had to guess id say that physics stuff in the paint caused a bit of unforeseeable problems that they just needed a couple more weeks to iron out.
No big deal.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Delayed Until October 28th
Strange, because by now the game should have been done. So unless they had planned it a little while ago and just waited for the 'right moment', this is really weird. It's either problems in paradise, or them wanting to perfect it to the last minute.
does this mean that the demo is being delayed too? Maybe they want gamers to be really impatient and just go out and buy it without trying it?
Yeah, I know, all speculations.
SpoilerDid they other game release some info that made them go back to the drawing board? My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

One of those youtubers surprisingly saw this coming... Atleast they pushed it back rather than released it broken right???EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Unfortunately this is par for the course. Two steps forward and three steps back.
I feel like the ONLY thing Live has going for it right now is the tiny amount of brand loyalty from long time Live fans (myself included). I'm tired of the "this is a journey back to relevance," "we're always improving" garbage. When Live does stuff like this it erases any buzz and goodwill it may have created. Not only does it erase buzz, but it reinforces the notion that the game is going to be substandard. To me, this is a big, giant, red flag. Couple this announcement with the tiny amount of information being released and you get a bunch of disappointed fans.
I drank the Kool-Aid last year and bought Live 14 for full price. This year I'm keeping my money in my pocket unless something seriously jaw dropping (and fully featured!!!!) comes out.
They make it SOO hard to be a Live fan.Comment

Really not sure how to take this. I would much rather a delay than for the game to release on the 7th and disappoint but how much can the game really improve within the extra 3 weeks.Comment

Can we get a link that shows the release date as October 28 ? I checked their site and other sites that have the game release date and they still show October 7:
