Are you really serious about consumers feedback? How about DONT TAKE OUT WHAT WORKS in previous version?

I don't know you, and you don't know. So let me tell you something: I love hockey. Love it! And I'm sure you do too. I also happen to love Be A GM mode. I played over 250 games of it on NHL 14. And I also love drafting players!

Here's why you're in hot water. Never mind the dismal amount of communication, let's talk about some underhanded methods and what not. Sure, the minuscule details are fantastic. But I'd bet that most people are just a little more concerned about something as simple as the 3 Stars of the game. Which we took for granted. Now I'm no developer, for all I know it might be the toughest thing in the game to put in. But I doubt it.

And now you introduce it as something revolutionary? Just say, we didn't focus on this inconsequential thing but we'll patch it in quickly. Don't tell me that you'll put us in a GM's shoes by letting us draft our own players (albeit with a tough 3-minute limit. With "timeouts"). This was a day-one buy. But you took out so much that people love, Season mode—not a patch?—playoff mode—patch—SIMMING TO THE NEXT SHIFT IN BE A PRO—ridiculous—that I can't see myself buying this.

As I said before, I don't know you and you don't know me. But I do know that you'll be in damn hot water if you put out another bare-bones game next year, with all the patches you're doing. I'd hate to see you lose your job, but come on man. Priorities.

      Playoffs??? Playoffs??

YES !!!! Playoff Mode !!! Its all I play and I was ecstatic and then 3 stars made it back and I was double thrilled but obviously it would be nice if they worked on patching more basic things like season and player editing but I have a feeling code wise that would cause a lot more bugs so better safe than sorry and Yes how EA handled this was a joke and only responded last moment when it had no choice but way to man up Rammer !

But I prefer to pay full price as a investment of all the good things that are to come as we should embrace the NHL series or one day we might not even have a hockey game because how everything is profit or fold these days .

PS and I will be there tonight at the Midnight release with my C Card in hand to buy this amazing game as it plays incredible for me with just the perfect blend of sim and skill and the atmosphere is greatly improved , announcers , Fans , 3 stars , signs and goal horns ! Im ready for some next gen NHL Hockey how aboot you ? Man Up boys its a Investment

Re: NHL 15 Post-Launch Content Update

They have a similar thread like this over on the EA Forums with Rammer answering questions about the future updates and I have to say the guys over there ask the dumbest F'n questions ever......They may be ok questions if the game was not so stripped down this year but can we not waste time asking the questions like: "why does Girardi and Delzotto have the same overall rating" or "are the finger tips of the Edmonton Oilers gloves fixed this year" or "Will we see Brent Burns back on D this year" or my favorite one of all because the asker put it in big bold font and all Caps "PLEASE SWITCH RICKARD RAKELL OF THE ANEHIEM DUCKS TO CENTER" are they kidding me with this stuff? Im not trying to be an *** but people are trying to get serious answers about major game modes missing and this what people blow up the thread with? I don't know weather to laugh or cry.......since my Offline Season mode question was asked 3 times and not answered Im going to cry I guess

It's a shame that more couldn't have been included on release but i'm still looking forward to the game and happy about things being patched in opposed to the game being left as is, which happens all too often with games missing features.

These updates are okay but still leave a lot to be desired to be honest. As of right now...it is still a no for me. I will bide my time and see just how honest they are about all these patches. Some here are far too trusting, once you give them your money....they have the power. There exists no contract that states that they must patch the game and as such I will wait for 2-3 months and see what the reality of the situation is....I am will not go on faith in the decency of a corporation the likes of EA.

Re: NHL 15 Post-Launch Content Update

You have to stop and ask yourself, why is it only EA that has these compatibility problems? The Show, moved to next-gen with all modes still intact. 2K moves to next-gen, same thing, all major modes and features completely engaged. Madden, no more season mode (among other things). Fifa gets rid of the creation center and now this debacle that EA Canada is releasing tomorrow. The community pushed back after the news of missing modes came out last week. All of a sudden EA starts working on an update and posts a blog the day b4 release. From the outside it sounds like EA is only motivated by money, and I'm not a child, I get that's how the world operates these days. But there is still something to be said for customer satisfaction. It shouldn't have to come to twitter rants, hashtags (#firerammer) and forum-blasting to get EA to move. Instead of voting for the cover athlete (just non-sense, who cares??), how about asking the community for what features and ideas should be added.

Still doesn't sound like a $60 game to me.

I would LOVE for you explain how it's the consumers job to "invest" in the development of the game.

Investing in the development of a game is the publisher's job, period.

The way EA will dodge a poor sales is promise that they will update via patch. They were hoping that their silence will not expose their lousy effort. They are trying to salvage their garbage by promising that they will update but no time frame??? Expecting us to be at their mercy to update this garbage after receiving our money?? HELL NO!!!!

I really want to see the stats regarding the 1st week sales of NHL 15 as compared to NHL 7-14 at the initial releases

Wtf the three stars is a priority to get back in the game how bout you know ummmmm EDIT A FREAKIN PLAYER.
SimpleMath has spent a massive chunk of his summer rerating and filling out spreadsheets so we can get the revamped roster out in a timely fashion thisa year round and they just screwed us heavy on that.

I apologize in advance for sounding like I'm attacking, but I must say...what is it about EA's past that leads people to believe they will fulfill these promises??! As someone stated earlier, there is no contract to do so.

And if they do, is a month or two or three months a timely fashion? --especially given a 2 year window.

Let's parallel for a second with politics...it's almost mid-term election time, and incumbents are promising things left and right...with some totally contradicting their past actions/opinions. All in the attempt to remain in office. BUT...how many of them actually fulfill them? UNFORTUNATELY not many. I won't name examples, but the sad truth is some are morally bankrupt and will do what it takes to sell a product.

P.S. - I'm always amazed how a game like The Show can come out every year (on time except for this year) AND have almost no issues, and not need patching right off the bat (no pun intended ). You have to almost look for issues.

And The Golf Club comes out and responds to tweets within literally a half an hour most times, if that long. It's a breath of fresh air they realize who pays their bills. Not the game company, per se, but the consumer!
