    HUT Injuries/Fatigue

    For those of you who are actually playing NHL15 now that it's out (albeit for only a few hours), I've run into an issue;

It seems that when a player on my HUT gets injured or fatigued, I can't get them to heal up properly without using an injury or fatigue card.

I can't figure out how to bench this player as opposed to pulling them from the lineup all together, which obviously doesn't count towards their games of rest.

Anyone else having this same problem or am I just overlooking the completely obvious?

It sucks a lot, but according to the EA forums, you cannot heal a player if you don't apply an injury card. It's a load of bull and I hate it. My team is horrible and now 3 of my players are out with an injury and there's nothing I can do about it besides wait for more coins to buy injury cards. Terrible, terrible design!

Hopefully they add a bench like on the 360/ps3 so they heal by simply resting.

That isn't terrible design or an oversight. That is exactly how they wanted it to be.

Having it this way will mean there will be lots of people tripping over themselves to spend real money to get their injured hut star back into the lineup.

When it comes to $$$ EA doesn't miss a beat.

You got that right. I guess I'll have to spam the bronze packs looking for short term healing cards because right now the only ones I have are a couple gold 4 game injuries. Bleh

Already lost track of how many players I've had injured.. every team is so stacked with big/fast players they either paid for or got through pre-sale bonus that I barely get into the offensive zone most of the time without getting leveled/laid-out and lose 1-2 players almost every game it seems

I just sell every player that is injured, fatigued, or out of contract.

It costs more to "fix" them than it will cost you if you sell them off and buy a new player.

I like that idea for injured mostly... figuring out that long term gold contract cards aren't that expensive .. even the 13/11/11 for 13 gold games with a lot of buy it now's at 150 make sense.. then I can at least TRY and keep my top 2 lines and goalies playing, then lines 3 and 4 I can bounce around different players.. still an experiment though, and trying to keep the same 6 gold D or find better even at the same time

especially in the early build of your HUT, this seems to be the way to do it.

but yeah, the more you dive into the mode, the more annoyances pop up.

I agree. When your team is young and the players aren't top notch. It's probably much easier and likely much cheaper to just dump the mediocre players and grab another one from the auction house for basically nothing because I'm sure the AH is flooded with them.

Plus, the more people that are dumping players instead of healing them... the more chance there is for someone to make a major screw up and put someone awesome up for cheap... I hope I catch someone dumping and injured Patrick Kane for dirt. LOL

                      Re: HUT Injuries/Fatigue

Starting out, I recommend buying up a bunch of non-rare gold NHLers for 250 or less and a bunch rare NHLers for 550 or less.

That way you can still make a profit on them when you quick sell those guys once their contracts expire or they get injured.

The only people I've paid more than that for thus far are Darren Helm (who doesn't seem to be as good as he was in previous editions of HUT) and Anders Lindbäck (who is still one of the best values at goalie, due to his 6'6" size).

You can get a lot of good rare NHLers for 550 or less, especially on defense. Guys like Daniel Brière, Artem Anisimov, and Jason Chimera have also been great players on my first and second lines.

Trevor Lewis and Brandon McMillan are the best non-rare NHLers I've used thus far.

I got O. Okinen for a bargain price. Great center Power Forward that can really help your team with size. J. Morin of the Blackhawks is a great little sniper on the cheap.

Is there a "quick lineup" button this year that I can't find? Or is that another thing that just didn't make it

So buying the gold contracts didn't work for me.. I've got about 15 players injured on the roster thanks to this new demolition derby style of hockey. Half the time I add games they get injured that next game.

Can't figure out what good a goalie fatigue card for +4 games is either when either goalie I play is fatigued after 1 game again after using the card

Every time I use an injury card to try and heal a player, the next screen jumps to a contract card and the only way to get out WITHOUT wasting the card is to turn off the X-Box.. .. there's no option to cancel choosing it even
