Lineman getting pass attempts???

Is anyone else seeing in CFM a lineman or a d-lineman getting pass attempts? Just played a game againt the Steelers and the LT had was 1 for 1 and the LE was 2 for 2...... I played the whole game, no simming......

I saw Kyle Long was like 0/1 when I played as the Bears, couldn't remember if it was simmed or actually playing, but there was no way I ever used him; i'd realise if he was at QB. I had 2 uninjured QBs and kicker/punter, so would be no way he actually played. The 3rd string QB didn't get a single snap. Kyle Long, strangely enough, has better-than-non QB attributes, like his accuracies and THP are higher than most non-QBs, lol. Still atrocious but still weird that he'd throw a pass, ever. My guess is he picked up a fumble and it counted as a pass for some reason.

I saw it happen last year. It seemed to happen if you have a completed pass with a holding/clipping called on the play.

yea this bug or glitch has been in madden forever ... I remember this happening on the ps2 maddens as well.

I've seen it a half dozen times already. I also paused my game, and was down 10 to 3. When I resumed, the score was 12 to 3. Somehow the CPU team got credit for a safety even though the game wasn't playing.

WOW!!!! i thought Andrew Luck getting called for roughing the passer in my game was crazy! at least i was actually in game lol.

The only thing that matters about this bug is that it doesn't calculate in the CFM season stats. The lineman throws are erased after the game. IMO, this bug is so low on the totem pole it really doesn't need it's own thread.

I have seen this and I'm glad you said it's my recorded in season stats because I forget to check that myself. Another related thing I've seem is if there is a personal foul (i.e. Roughing the Passer) that play is by recorded in the stats. So if I throw a 9 yard completion and roughing the passer is called (which is correctly treated as an "after the whistle" foul) my QB is not credited with the 9 yard completion. It also doesn't credit the QB if I throw a TD pass that is originally called incomplete but a booth review overturns it. Not huge bugs but it seems like they'd be a relatively easy fix.

I have even seen this posted in EA's glitches thread over the years, but it never gets fixed. I just assume it never will get fixed, but as was stated it doesn't figure into season stats so I guess it doesn't matter.

Oh and yes, it only happens when that particular lineman gets a holding call. (for who knows what reason)

However since holding doesn't seem to get called anymore (along with D/O pass interference never getting called) it shouldn't be as much of an issue.

Basically... penalties are glitched like crazy and half of them never get called.

Yes happens to me every few games. First time I went back through every play couldn't figure out when it happened.

Another thing is my qb showing up as a db in goal line situations. I'm playing all of a sudden I see a pasty looking db I click him, it's Aaron Rogers I'm like wtf, then rest of the game Rogers name wasn't on his jersey. Happened twice, both in goal line. I checked Rogers isn't on depth chart or anything so no idea why it happened.

This is another bug that has been in the game for years. And another one I doubt will ever get fixed, and most likely EA isn't aware.

It happens because there is no true Special Teams roster. In Madden Special Teams are chosen based on who is 2nd in your depth chart for certain positions. So if you have a DB listed as 2nd in both the left and right side of your depth chart it needs to pick another player to fill the Special Teams spot since it can't deploy the same player twice. So it plops the QB in there.

I checked my notebook of Madden Glitches, and it looks like I wrote this one down 2 years ago. So it's been there since at least Madden 13.
