Madden broken, so are the reviews
So offline cfm is broken, its been like this with every single madden that i recall. Everytime we are forced to wait for a patch, to even get started. Ea is to blaim, i know that. But what about the reviews, if a game is unplayable out of the box, we should know about it right? And it should be reflected in review scores. For the future, at least on this site, reviews should point these things out and give a game like madden 15 a really bad review. Or just give a wait to buy till patch is Down.

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
The sim stats issue was given very specific criticism in the review of this site, and many others. I'm not sure what else the reviewer could have done. -
Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
I agree with the poster above, all the review sites that I read made note of the offline CFM problems. Even here at OS it was well documented. Where is your beef? Also, I can't say that the game is totally broken because one mode isn't working as it should. Just my opinion.I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! Birds on the bat til I die!Comment

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
Well. A lot of people on these forums play offline cfm only, so that is a big deal. In my case it is offline cfm or nothing. The Way i see it, Ea should not bring a game to market, if not all the main game modes are working as intended. And if they do, a site like this should review the game as a: wait till a patch comes out buy.I agree with the poster above, all the review sites that I read made note of the offline CFM problems. At present they sell millions of madden copies, with fundamental flaws because most review sites only talk about what great new stuff this years version has. If we want a fundamental better game, we have to learn to vote with our vallets, and those who review the game Got to start Helping us with that.
Guess im just sick and tired of legacy issues.Last edited by Danish ram; 09-11-2014, 09:11 AM.Comment

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
You have a point here. However, Madden NFL 15 is nowhere close to "unplayable" out of the box.
Is the offline simulated stats issue an inconvenience? Sure. There's a workaround, however - play a one-player online CFM. The issue has already been fixed for CFM game saves which are run on EA's servers.Comment

Never, ever buy an EA sports game on day 1. Wait for the patches to buy or don't buy at all.So offline cfm is broken, its been like this with every single madden that i recall. I would agree though that the problems I have read about should have at least given Madden a 3 point deduction out of the box. I would say that the top score this game game should have got based on the stat tracking and other issues should have been a 7, more likely in the 5 or 6 range.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. This site and many others went over the issues with offline CFM days before the game hit the market. I know would never write a review and totally disregard all the things have done well to only speak of the negative...just doesn't make sense and you lose credibility in my eyes...Again, I must say Madden is far from broken, just because one mode doesn't work as intended. So you may so that the game is unplayable for YOU, however, I just can't call the game broken. Just my .02!I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! Birds on the bat til I die!Comment

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
I agree madden is not totally broken, and im for one, is not interested in reviews that only speak of the negatives, however letting EA get away with legacy and bug plagued games year after year. Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
The people who give positive reviews probably aren't great madden players or don't really know to look at the details in offline franchise. The offline franchise gameplay has been horrendous for years. AI is not

Re: Madden broken, so are the reviews
Yes some of the issues the game has does make me wonder what kind of testing they do, however I would hardly call the game unplayable.
It is frustrating that waiting for a patch has become a yearly slogan, but it is also not unique to Madden or sports games in particular.Comment
