Romo also had a higher completion %, more passing yards and a higher QBR than Smith. Just shows the disparity that exists with "Czars" ratings. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Seems like he picks names out of hat each week. Luckily we are able to fix all of his mistakes.

Its been like that as long as i can remember , completely biased , stupid rating updates . For example last year when Broncos were on good run EA started giving boosts to literally every broncos player on the team no matter if he even played and no matter how he performed on the field . This Romo downgrade while Alex Smith gets nothing is also a perfect example of this . The worst part for me is that there are so many talented people that invest themselves in actually updating rosters with some sense here on OS boards and they dont get hired while some guys who are hired by EA are doing god knows what with these updates and are getting paid for this ...

I totally agree. I have to edit my team all the time for basic stuff before I start a season. For instance I'll talk about the Lions only because I follow that team very close of course. Theo Riddick changed his number to 25 when Detroit released Leshoure even before week 1 game but here in week two its still 41.

Tahir Whitehead played his but off in all 4 preseason games and won the starting spot at LOLB but he is still rated a 68 when the guy he beat out for the position is rated at 77 and also he is a ROLB on the Madden roster. Stanford who didn't even make the 53 man roster and is on the practice squad is also rated a 72 above Whitehead. I'm sorry but coaches don't normally kick guys off the 53 man roster if they are better players than someone else!

Also I still think Stafford is underated. He went from an 87 to an 88 but his player traits I don't agree with and I think he should be around a 90 at least.
Go Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, Wolverines!

just saw something else RB Terrance West Changed his jersey number when Dion Lewis got cut but Donny still has him wearing #20 he should be wearing #28.

For somebody who uses ourlads for depth charts etc... he sure doesn't pay attention to what's being posted on there I had tell him about the FS he put on the browns who actually was a CB... his answer was well depth charts aren't set? ummm hello this was when all final cuts were made and depth charts were SET!!!!! lmfao.... right before week 1 game.

Donny Moore has a self filling prophecy that he stinks at what he does.

To me HIS opinion of ratings should count 1% and let the actual stats speak for themselves.

He needs a formula and put his grab bag up for auction up on EBay.

Lol @ Stafford being a 90. I think Romo's rating dropped while Smith's stayed the same, is because Romo consistently has those kinds of performances. That's the only reason that comes to mind, I do agree that as far as Week 1 goes in the NFL, the roster update should be more fair. I agree Smith should've had his ratings dropped, but not as much as Romo's.

ok so if u start a new cfm with these rice is gone all together from online cfm... but he's the top RB in FA in offline? umm I THOUGHT they REMOVED him from game completely? so how can he be off one and on another?

offline is getting no respect no fixes yet and now u have a guy EA has stated is completely gone from all modes sitting in FA pool lmfao.

This is the biggest problem with Donny Moore doing all the ratings. It's an IMPOSSIBLE task for only one person to do. He probably does as good as job as any one person can but every individual hardcore fan will know more about his own team than Donny will. It's just like a national NFL writer - they can't come close to the knowledge of the local beat writers.

That's why I wish he would have 32 Madden fans from across the internet who he can get input on for his rosters. Each of those fans would represent one NFL team and provide proper depth charts, number changes etc.

Ex: When I saw the initial Dolphins rosters had Koa Misi still at OLB it was a big mistake but 99% of the fans outside of Miami would not even notice it. If he had a Dolphin fan to review his work this wouldn't have happened. That's why to most casual fans his work is great. And to the other 31 teams I don't follow as closely I would say it's great as well. But when I look at Miami I can see some errors.

Its far from great even to casual fans and people who only closely follow one team , EA roster has been pretty bad overall for as long as i can remember .

He is only 26 and has put up huge numbers since his rookie year even though he was injured a good part of the first 2 years. This season he has way more weapons that just CJ, guys that don't drop in the top ten of WR drop passes like guys he had last year, Durham.... When he had his best season so far the year they made the playoffs his receiving core and running game were better than last years but not as good as this years. Watch by the end of the year you won't be LOLing that 90 rating.

I sure wish the player editor let you edit consistency, potential and contract information. You can edit consistency but it just goes back to whatever it was and doesn't save it.

I think having a fan of the team do that teams roster would be bias. They would get numbers and positions and all that right but I think their ratings would be bias. That's why I think it needs to be more than 1 person going over everything and coming up with a average of those ratings. If you have say 5 guys do independent rosters and then average them out.
