    Re: M12 cpu vs cpu

I saw it's $27 at Game Stop and around $10-$20 on eBay. I think I'm going to pick up this afternoon. I have 4 other games I can trade in and probably grab it for $15. I hope..

I broke and grabbed a copy of 25. It's alright I guess, no cpu vs cpu but I am playing in coach mode right now and it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Are you controlling all 32 teams? How does the cpu roster management seem? You liking it better so far over 12?

I'm not controlling all the teams, I never do that.

I haven't dug deep enough into it to know how the cpu is gonna handle their roster yet, I'm just 2 games into the preseason. So far the only person of any interest that has been cut by the cpu is Dexter McCluster from the Chiefs, and I signed him right away.

I don't know if I like it better then 12 yet, I still have to spend some more time with it.

I'll be interested in your opinion of it since we both play the same way (cpu vs cpu or coach mode) How much did you pick it up for? Is the game play and sim stats an upgrade over '12?

I think the gameplay is better. It looks nicer, the animations are better I think. The stats I don't know yet. I still got one preseason game to go and then once I get to the regular season I will take a look.

I would much rather play cpu vs cpu, but I seem to be enjoying it so far.

Yeah, I'd rather go cpu vs cpu as well, but if the game is better then I may pick it up as you did. I just don't like the idea of the QB not ever scrambling and taking off downfield and having to punt/kick. Plus, I think coach mode plays a bit unfair when it comes to sliders. At least cpu vs. cpu you know you are getting an even playing field.

I don't like the idea of the QB not scrambling either, but I use pocket passers anyways, so it's not a huge deal. As far as punting that is not bothering me much, at least you can pin them inside the 10 if you punt yourself. For field goals I just supersim the play for both teams.

I know you asked before how much I got it for, I think it was $25 at gamestop, but I traded in some old games so there was no money out of my pocket.

I never thought about simming field goals. I guess I could do that with both punts and kicks. When I played coach mode on '12 I'd eventually take off with the QB if the first few reads were covered. I played with Terrell Pryor, so he was definitely not a pocket passer!

$25 not bad. I saw on Target's website last week you can pick up for $20. I'll see how things progress for you, then I'll think about picking up. Are you using a specific coach mode slider set? Does pass interference finally work?

I'm using a set of sliders I found on here. I was reading what people were saying about them and they were all good, but when I started using them I noticed a lot of problems with them. For example there was no pass rush what so ever, so I have made some adjustments and gotten that to work pretty good.

Then the pass coverage was terrible, so I have been working on that. I think I have it pretty good now. Also the QB accuracy was really high so I have adjusted that. Now I am gonna do some tweaks to the running game, because my number four HB is running like he's my number one guy.

So I'm still working on the sliders, but they are getting close. When I get home today I will sim through a season and do free agency and the draft and see how all that is.

Also just to let you know I was simming punts but I stopped. They all were going into the endzone if you were around midfield, not any of them would be inside the 10 or anything, that's why I'm doing it myself. I sim field goals and kickoffs.

Did you get your sliders finalized? How did the season sim go?

Yeah the sliders are pretty good. I also simmed through a season and the stats looked pretty good from what I saw. The offseason is a little strange. Like resigning players, it's hard to tell if they are resigning with you or not, but I think I must have missed it some where. I got go through it again and try it.

Did you see most of the 30 + yr old QBs retiring? So you think you're going to stick with it or head back to '12?

I'll have to check on the retiring thing, but Manning didn't retire for the Broncos. I'm gonna stick with it for a while for now.
