NHL 2K10 2015 Rosters Xbox 360

Hello...
Half way done with the 2015 rosters for NHL 2K10 for the 360....I will release during the first week of the season. All the rosters are done, created new rookies, etc.

Just updating the lines and waiting to see if there are any surprises that make the rosters during the first week.

I've officially retired NHL 2K8 rosters...not enough time in the day...

The rosters are coming together nicely.

Game plays great...been playing a side angle with tweaked Shogun sliders and goalie edits and some of DJ Neo edits.

I still have a lot of player numbers to fix of recently signed players...apparently when I moved them over to new teams, some of their numbers are off now....the AHL will be a mix of current AHL players for teams as well as top prospects...not going to overdo it on the accuracy of the AHL teams.

Hey Elliot when can we expect to get these? No pressure. Just wanted to know what date or tentative date I can circle hahah. Thank goodness for you or else I would not be able to get my hockey fix.

I'd say after the weekend of week 1- I want to see who makes the NHL squads and then will double check the lines again. I'll concentrate on updates for 2K10 this year since I'm moving on from 2K8....

Not like you don't have enough to do, but I throw some global edits out there for digesting by the 360 or PS3 roster makers (just try it with 2 trial teams and see what you think of the gameplay). My biggest problem with the game is the "dumbness" of the Dmen. This doesn't erase it entirely, but I think it helps with too many breakaways. Also need to set team strategies (like across the board 1-4 backcheck) to "help" the defense and not going to get into sliders because everyone has their own interpretation.

H/E Coor. (maybe -33%, but didn't try this yet)


Defensemen:

Stamina -33%
Puck Handle -50%
All Global "99" edits for these attributes: Def. Aware; Discipline; Hustle; Clutch; Influence; Shot Tendency

Thanks for the feedback...

I've made some global edits to the D-men as well as the forwards based on style (offensive, defensive, complete, 2-way, finesse, etc)
It plays pretty sweet especially playing on a side camera angle. There is a little bit more cycling and less end to end action with D-men being stupid.

The endless problem I am running into is coming up with accurate shots in a game from the d-men...if I boost to 99 shooting, they end up scoring like 40 goals in a season...but when I move up shot blocking, there are less shots per game...never be perfect I supposed.

Hmmm...I didn't think of adjusting discipline though....I thought that might affect penalties but it's probably just aggression.

Hey TSO.... I think the thing you have to sometimes be willing to give up for as optimal in-game play as you can get are the simmed stats. I know sports fans are big on this, but the bottom line is what do game players want? Good game play or happy stats?? I had this "problem" with NFL 2K5 when doing rosters years ago, but it didn't take me long to settle on good game play.

I can't remember one stat a player or team had, but I remember having amazing games vs. the CPU when the sensible edits and sliders were merged properly. I'm amazed how many guys get their panties in a bunch over stats and "why is my guy/team RATED so low"!! And I think hockey gamers are probably the worst ones of all sports gamers. I don't think I would be as satisfied seeing a bunch of good looking stats or ratings after playing a season or playoff run and the gameplay sucked.

did you start fresh with a roster TS? or does the Panthers still have 83498733297 guys in the minors bc of the roster glitch? lol

Panthers unfortunately will be a breeding ground for the AHL, OHL, WHL, ECHL, etc...they have about 112 prospects now! Too funny. I might start sending the retired players over their way soon...

I reduced the H/E coordination by 50% in all skaters and found it to be an amazing game.... more loose without sacrificing offense and good offensive movement by the PC team.

I lowered the hand and puck handling for all utility players, defensive d-men as well as power forwards...as well as other edits (finesse players higher agility, puck handling, less body checking, etc) Shot accuracy has been tweaked as well as well as speed, balance depending on player type, weight, etc. Still a work in progress. These are based off some of DJ Neo's old edits.


Still cleaning up the AHL rosters....then I'm going to have to re-set the lines all over- when you add a player from the free agents to a new team, it tends to mess all the lines up for some reason. It automatically dresses them for some reason instead of scratching them. Plus the Florida Panthers have the huge players golfing in Florida in the AHL.


These edits include Shogun's goalie edits as of last year...
