How much money do you spend in FUT?

Just a curious question... Last year I spent around $100-$150 on FIFA points... So this year I shelled out $100 right away to get the 2000 bonus points since I knew it would be likely I'd spend around that much anyways.


And since I play Ultimate Team nearly every day for months, I figured it was a good investment.


Do any of you spend much money on Ultimate Team points?

I had $80 worth of trade in credit with Gamestop so I bought about $70 in Xbox Live gift cards last night to invest. Since I only buy my games from Amazon now and only trade in to Gamestop I figured I'd use my saved up credit that way.

I spent zero dollars the last 2 years in FUT. 2 years ago I earned around 160K and last year 130K. I play offline a lot and it builds up the coins plus EA always has some giveaways on their website at times.

I spent about £50 one year just for fun but usually I spend zero money.

I don't see the problem with people spending it because it is their money and if they want to enhance the game with it then fair play to them.

My thoughts exactly. If its your money, do what you want to do with it. I just don't understand the hate around people who pay for packs.

I spent $150 last year and had fun. This year I'm going to wait until I build a solid base team before I buy. Want to see if I can trade my way into a good team. I do love opening new packs though. Makes me feel like a kid again opening hockey cards lol

i put in 140 this year. had alot of fun and pulled some good players. in the past i did not put more then mabey 20 dollars in.

Fifa 13 prolly $140 or so in all. Figs 14, would have spent that much but EA glitched me and my second $20 and would not rectify the situation no matter how hard I tried in support (funds withdrew from wallet but didn't get the fifa points) so didn't spend another dime.

This year $40 and that's all they'll get. I'm still bitter about them stealing $20 from me and not giving me a virtual card or pack at that point to correct situation.

Last year I probably put in about $100. Luckily I was able to pull a Ribery which I sold and used to fund the rest of my FUT moves and purchases.

I probably won't be that lucky this year so the number could rise a bit.

I post earlier in this thread but never actually answered the question.

I spent $50 on launch day. I'm planning on doing a $100 pack opening next weekend (I have $100 in Target credit, don't ask why).

FIFA is my favorite game and UT is my favorite mode besides Career Mode (CM can get tedious at times) so I don't ever feel regret when I spend money on it.

The only thing that irks me about people spending money on it is it gives EA the reassurance that microtransactions are ok. And then all focus goes into micro transactions, and away from improving other facets of the game, such as career manager, etc.
