    Stud HB's in Draft Classes?

So I have been through 3 draft classes now, and researched them heavily. Overall I'm pretty impressed. They beat the handcrafted classes that have been in the past few Maddens.

I have yet to see any stud HB's, though. Like zero. Finding any with STR seems impossible. Has anyone noticed this? Or has anyone found some stud HBs?

Not sure if you would call it a stud... I drafted a Heisman winner with a 75 overall, but superstar development trait.

I drafted a 78 overall with Superstar potential. Pretty solid all around back who will be a beast in a year or so with milestone and game prep.

      66 STR
      85 AGI
      96 ACC
      74 AWR

I have been through five drafts now and the HBs have been serviceable at best until the last one when I had two studs. I didn't draft either but I've just hit the playoffs and one of them is now 92OVR and finished 2nd in rushing yards. They do exist but I think it's great that there are up and downs and not a stud at every position in every draft. My current draft has 6 TEs projected to go 1st round. Shame I don't intend to select one.

This is how it should be in my opinion, you shouldn't be able to hit on a rockstar every draft class, teams in real life have crappy classes year in and year out

I got a 5'11 252 lb power back with superstar development. Projected 1st round, I got him in the third I think. He had 89? speed, 77 strength, and 91 ACC. He's 88 trucking, so I'm gonna work on that and try to make him into an Earl Campbell type back.

this yrs madden has same problem as last year
-OT has too many 90+ ovr. no wonder why pass rush is ineffective this year
-MLB has too many good players too
in real nfl, only 1/4 teams have great MLB
              -too many superstar dev
half of starter on my team have star potential
              - too many 90ish CBs
              - too low ovr k and p
one more thing i want to point out is
i play only 2-3 game a season and possibly playoff games . mostly i sim games. once my starter on key position went down, my hope for superbowl almost is gone. i think backups should respectable job as starter does (in real life, some teams are just fine even when their star player get injured)

Re: Stud HB's in Draft Classes?

I think this is a problem area. There are a number of serviceable backs, but not nearly enough with physical attributes that match up to the real players in the game. I have been through several drafts and there isn't a drafted running back in the league with higher than 91 speed and any back with 90 speed is really weak. That is fine if that matched up with the rest of the real players, but there are a number of real players with mid 90's speed and 70's strength not even counting the studs that are even better.

What was that? This is the first time I have heard this remark or anything close about this year's madden.

This is the thing with random draft classes, you might have 10 drafts in a row without a stud HB (or other random position) and then have 7 in a row with one. That's why I love these because you never know what you will have in that draft class. I have seen a few first round RB's but just like the real NFL it hasn't happened often.

Re: Stud HB's in Draft Classes?

I've only done one CFM draft so far, and out of that draft there was only one R. With 70+ Strength , I believe it was 63. Most had strength ratings in the mid-50's. Way too low for me to consider(power back, or not).. Another position I found to be considerably weak was TE.

Pretty sure the strongest TE had 61 Strength rating. Most were mid-low 50's. Funny to see a couple CB with low 80's strength and about 5-7 more CBs with 70+ strength, but yet the RBs and TEs were soooo incredibly underpowered.

Sure I've only done one draft, and it could have been a fluke, but on Avg, you should find stronger RBs and TEs than CBs.(two days after my draft, my ps3 crashed and I had to do a system restore, so I lost all exact data, but I did review basically every draft pick on every team, and the strength of those 3 position seemed the most "off", if you will).

In my online franchise i had AD sit out the whole year, then the following year released him. We (the vikings) went 4-12 and had the 3rd pick. With the pick i drafted a 6'1 234 running back from Alabama with 93 speed 88 trucking. His overall was 83 and he was 4th in the league in rushing also won ROY. We went 10-6 and now his overall is 92.

It is def more realistic having it random because you wont get studs all the time but they are def out there. I drafted this rb in 1st round and was 20yr old had 94spd 93agi 95acc was 6' about 207. i dont remember what his strength was but his trucking was high 80s and by year 4 he was a 99 so im guessing he had superstar development (i dont ever scout those traits)..he was an absolute beast could break away long runs and run over ppl at same time. anything inside 5-10 yrd line was always a touchdown first try, only problem was he tended to fumble at least once a game. i only play against .500 above teams plus playoffs and he consistenlty hit 1700 yrds on season
