2nd tuner update

xb1 - tonight I acted like I was going to play an online game just to see if there were any updates and when I backed out, it said an update was downloaded.. any idea on what the fixes are?

This is the 2nd tuner update I've received since release.

please, check on advanced settings if you see 1.01 as an option.

Nope, just 1.00 and latest.. I'm wondering if they don't allow you to go back to anything besides the original tuner and the latest?

I played one game.. so who knows.. but the game play seems different. The shot totals were the lowest I've had in my 15 games so far in BeaGM, but again it just might be nothing at all and all in my head.

It was the 2nd time it told me an update had been downloaded, so I have no idea what that actually means.

Yeah, me too. I'm going to be bummed when the next tuner comes out and there is no way to go back to this one.

The goalies seem a bit tougher and the deke stick seems more faster and more responsive when gliding in this one.

Side question - people seem to report improved or changes behaviors/gameplay with tuner updates. Are these updates more like patches where gameplay and logic is affected, or is it just default tuner sets being changed?

I think it's a little bit of both. Sliders get changed and I've noticed game play differences. Seems like they loosened up the goalies again, which is great if that's the case. My backup is playing like well.. my backup.

I just make sure if I see "custom" for game style, I go back in and change it to "hardcore" as at times it does change on its own. I just feel like "hardcore" defaults play a good game of hockey all around.

I'm on the PS4 and just checked, only Latest and 1.00 for me also.

I sure miss the last gen way of downloading tuners.

It was kinda fun to do it manually. And to KNOW it's there, vs guessing.

Agreed.. having to check each time by going into an online game (xb1) is a bit annoying.

I'm not sure what tuner is actually installed, but it's killed the game for me. I'm going to completely uninstall the game and then reinstall and NOT go to an online game as I want the original tuner back.

In my BeaGM game, the CPU team just beat me 8-0 and it was back to tape to tape passing, one timers to guys nobody was covering, laser corner of the goal shots, etc.. Robo goalie was in effect for their team too. I don't mind losing, but this game was like on super settings or something. Plus they had 6 PP's and I had none. Bleh.........

this patch has ruined this game. I dont have the 2nd one yet on PS4, just the first one.

its so slow and like last gen, impossible to score. The shots are even slow, no power behind them

why did EA gimp the game? If the hardcore crowd wants a slow game, let them use sliders.

What a shame. The best thing about this unfinished product was the gameplay. Now they managed to eff w/ that too now.

Not sure it's the tuner. This game is wonky and something funny is happening with the sliders. What you described happens regularly every couple of games or so. The game just kicks into hyper drive. I play on Game Speed 0 so its even more apparent when it does.

It's almost scripted like.. as there is nothing I can do except sit back and watch the CPU do its thing.

Great a already broken game has now become ****ing unplayable. What a waste of ****ing money NHL 15 has been!
