    CFM storyline's suck!

These random classes are a cool idea except after like 3 seasons you've heard all the storylines in the draft. I swear it's either DB with great memory or player that has been on sideline since he was a kid. I also hate how there is almost no mention of rookies throughout the season and when they do it's one of like 5 stories. I also hate how EVERY storyline can't even show the players in their college team colors, just black and white uniforms. That really helps the experience EA.

Didnt Madden 25 actually show players in their college uni's?

Thats really sad that these features EA implements get worse instead of better. One of many reasons I have very little faith in them.

IMO, they need to do away with the storyline stuff...they really dont add anything. Take out storylines and replace them with fully editable draft classes. No one really cares about the lame story lines of fake college players.

Well, I figure the reason they can't use actualy college uniforms is due to EA losing the NCAA license

Thy never used actual college uniforms. Just their colors for generic uniforms. A Missouri player would be in black and gold. Oregon player in a different uniform every week probably.

Yeah, but I still think they're playing it safe.

I think because it's random, they will always be from different colleges, was probably easiest to just make all the uniforms black instead I people complaining that the colors were wrong
Only the truest Buffalonians know what it is to stick with your hometown teams. Eventually we will be rewarded with a Super Bowl or Stanley Cup Championship. The ONE thing I want to see most before i leave this world. What a day that would be.

That last line is not actually true. You are making assumptions based on your opinion. A majority of Madden players never used the import function of NCAA when it was around. I, for one, am in that group.

We just need Tiburon to do a little better with their storylines. They need to use more ideas in their storylines. Also these random draft classes rock.

They clearly are playing it safe, and want nothing to do with further litigation.

I really like the story lines. Makes a overall pretty drab franchise mode a but more engaging. Problem is, the story lines are so few and far between. I mean, it's almost like they forget to keep us updated on what the rookies are doing in college during the season.

I never lied the story lines to begin with, felt like they were cool for a few drafts then they got old and repetitive. I'd much rather see who is in the running for the top college awards, who might come out early etc. Rather than generic storylines about a players background. By year 2 I forget who half of them were anyways.

                      Re: CFM storyline's suck!

Well, I never thought the storylines of the past couple of years were generic. In fact, I thought they were extremely specific. And they were on-going throughout the season, so a guy's storyline evolved. By the time the draft came, I felt I got a good sense of why he was slotted where he was due to how his play progressed or regressed as the season went along.

That has changed with Madden 15. Now, in a random week, it'll just say something like "Cooper broke his arm, scouts see his stock falling." That's it. The storylines are weak this year.

I think top college awards could be cool. I'd actually like to see college statistics, as well. They really need to do something, because as it stands, you're really just pushing buttons and unlocking letters. I mean, literally, that's the extent of your interaction with the rookie class every year.

There's nothing immersive, or really fun, about that.

First off, when I say "editable", I am talking about ratings and other things...not JUST names.

Secondly, MAJORITY? Where is your research for this? You have no more to support your claim than I have to support mine.

But if you want, go ahead and make a thread and poll asking what players would rather have....fully editable draft classes or storylines that no one will even remember.

And just for the record...you are PROBABLY right that most people dont use draft classes, but most of THOSE people probably either 1) dont even really care about the offseason in general or 2) dont care about college football and dont know real college players enough to care one way or the other.

Of the diehards and simheads....I can all but guarantee most would rather have real/editable draft classes than storylines and fake Madden generated players....especially since in its current form, the storylines add nothing and the generated players come out completely messed up in alot of cases.

                          Re: CFM storyline's suck!

I like the completely random draft classes and I would be fine with editable classes as well, but then you could run into issues in an online CFM. The randomness is easily my favorite element of the current setup.

So far the random classes have been very balanced and the players have had very reasonable skills.

Changing the images and player equipment would be the two highest priorities on my list. I'd also like to see a combine type feature with the physical ratings given as a base to rate players.

If a custom draft class took up a great deal of resources I wouldn't want them allocted to this area.

I am a diehard, watch as many college football games as possible and the offseason is the most important thing to me in CFM. I don't like "real" draft classes. They were never perfect themselves other than having real names. Once I start my CFM it is my own world outside of what happens in the real NFL or NCAA. I wouldn't mind editable draft classes even if it was just names/equipment but I do love the random draft classes. Your last two paragraphs are doing the same thing you called him out for your making an assumption with little to no research behind it.

First off, I wasnt calling him out on it. I just said his claim wasnt any more supported than mine was.

Secondly, my comment was based on what Ive seen on here, elsewhere and how many people freaked out when real draft classes were taken away.

Third, I am not saying get rid of randomly generated draft classes. I am saying that the storylines that go with it dont add much and that being able to fully edit them adds more to the game since you can fix poor ratings and IF desired, edit names and other things. Those will have a much more impactful and long lasting effect on the game than storylines.

And again...Im not saying they should even get rid of storylines. I think if done better, they could be really cool. But...beyond just what I think...I see very few people that have much good to say about Madden generated draft classes or the storylines and see ALOT of people saying that they want real draft classes back, or at least the ability to edit ratings and make up for how poorly the current Madden generated classes are done.
