2014 NL Wild Card Game: San Francisco Giants v. Pittsburgh Pirates

Game is Wednesday October 1st at 8pmEST(5pm in San Francisco) and will be on ESPN(Sportsnet for Canadians).

Pirates lead the season series 4-2. Pirates have only lost to Giants 1 time at home this year, and it came at the "turning point" of their season(where Pirates went 76-53 after that loss). Last time Pirates-Giants faced off in playoffs:

I like Pittsburgh in this one. I hope the Pittsburgh crowd tries to get into the heads of the Giants pitchers like they did with the Reds last year

I feel iffy with Volquez on the mound. I would have liked to have either Frankie or Cole. I'm looking forward to it though, especially after last years Wild Card game. Hopefully Martin suits up.

It's an even year so I could say Giants, but I'm going with the Pirates here. My NL pick to reach the World Series.

I would like to see the Pirates win, just for the idea of rooting for the "underdog", but I don't see the Giants losing. In fact, I see the Giants winning here and the NLDS vs the Nationals.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Wont be many runs scored tonight. I think Pirates can pull it out in the late innings

No MLB team will ever touch the Braves on my fandom meter, but the Pirates are my adopted No. 2. So Let's Go Bucs!
