LOL at the first two reviews on Steam:

Step into the Manager's Shoes with Front Page Sports Football! Recruit, train, and coach your players to victory. Delve into the opposition's strategy with replays and stats, create a customized gameplan from thousands of plays, and push your players' skills to new limits.

Damn. I'd been waiting for this to cme out. Now I'm just disappointed.

Oh well. Might just have to give front office football a go, and continue waiting for beyond the sideline from the OOTP guys.

Too bad. From what I've read it sounds like it's not worth the money or time. Guess I'll have to hold out hope something comes along besides Madden where I can play as a coach.

Too bad. Having played the Front Page Sports Football games in the 1990's, I've had this on my Steam wish list for some time. But from the user reviews it looks like this new version is incomplete.
One reviewer commented, "It seems like a soccer fan's version of a football sim." Another added, "Not as good as FPS 98 at all." Finally, several Steam reviews listed rule inaccuracies, lack of customization, problems with play calling, and graphic glitches like, "My cornerback is setup backwards pointing his butt towards the receiver before the snap."
I'm taking the game off of my Steam wish list, going back to my NFL Head Coach (2006 and 2009) games, and hoping that Out of the Park Developments delivers a polished product when they publish Beyond the Sideline Football sometime in 2015.
