So...since we can scan our faces, does this mean our faces show up in mycareer stats or do we still get a silohuette?

Like I stated in the begining when they first announced this feature! I believe lighter skinned individual will benefit the most from this...meanwhile darker skinned people like myself will have worlds of issues. I will wait til daytime to try again or perhaps take my xbox outside....lol

I will try after 10 when I go grab the game and camera, but people also need to be careful not to 'over-expose' ... the tutorial I saw a while back the guy's forehead was blown out as well as his cheek bones. This resulted in a scan that was too bright and stood out too much from the body. He was dark skinned and suggested a dark background for dark people and light for lighter people and to actually try to match the skin tone with a sheet. I don't think that SHOULD work because of the way camera's work, normally you want contrast between the subject and the background. Most camera's like these have 'auto iris' so with my iPhone for example I will trick it into adjusting the iris to suit my needs, and I'm wondering if that is part of all the fails is that it's just too wide open...

To me people should look for even lighting above all else, which daylight would be the best for sure, especially overcast light (which it is today). I will post mine if I can figure it out and anything I notice along the way. I shoot a lot of video so I'll be extra determined and a little embarrassed if I can't get it to look good.

It really was easy not sure how people are coming out looking like the cast of shadow of mordor.

Hold camera at eye level, turn head slowly left and right. If it gets stuck on a percentage just try going left then right again.

It's best to "add" eyebrows and beard afterwards.

Mine turned out alright. Only got 3200 points for average rating.



Take the tips. Place camera on something stationary. Turn head slowly and only slightly to like your cheekbone. Also make sure to look at the camera the whole time

I keep getting an above average rating but the face still turns out all deformed. Am I that ugly? 😢

I just added a bed sheet as a backdrop for myself and now I am getting better results! Actually normal looking face. Just not like mine because well, I'm not black lol

Anyone having problems with the kinect not recognizing your face, it picks it up much better at a distance than it does close up.

Anyone having problems with the kinect not recognizing your face, it picks it up much better at a distance than it does close up.

This, no luck at getting over 1700 points either, no matter the light or the source of the said light
