Not sure what to say then. Good for you? It's obvious that the ridiculous drops are put in to offset the nigh-perfect QB accuracy. Victor Cruz, Josh Gordon, Brandon Marshall etc. they all drop passes at a rate and in ways that they simply do not in reality. I have the slider set to 90 and it plays like it does at 50.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
I will say the WR catch slider on PS3 barely did anything. I actually had it at 0 and didn't see much difference. The sliders on PS4 are also very weak. I wish the EA football team spent a lot more time and effort with regards to sliders. They are weak to the point of broken, they have no game changers that look at them and they couldn't work much worse than they do now. It's been really bad the last few years and I simply think the dev team hates them. No other explanation for how bad this area is. Why don't we have separate CPU and user special teams sliders in franchise? Heck, you can't even adjust the sliders in a franchise game. Its terrible. Not sure what to say then. Good for you? Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
Totally agree. Just a theory of mine, but for a while I have surmised that when EA is developing a feature or gameplay mechanic, they start with the end of the play. A fancy juke, sideline catch, bone jarring hit etc....the type of stuff that sells games. And then they try to work there way backwards to the beginning of the play. Instead of working on some of the more basic (boring) foundational elements like line play, and then letting things play out.
Hopefully that made sense.Comment

I have to agree. Some of the drops in this game are just plain laughable. Some are actually fumbles but the game rules them drops, and without review. Not sure what to say then. Good for you? I'm sure it's a measure to help with the completion percentage issue, but it's a bad way to go about it in my opinion. They've got to figure something else out.Comment

that's all rex said they did, look how to get the numbers of players stats to match real nfl stats numbers. how they do that? exactly what you guys are saying, game flaws.
getting those numbers is primary, how they get them is secondary. so backwardsLast edited by MaddenGamer7778; 10-07-2014, 09:03 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
This is exactly why Madden is a very frustrating game to play. It is not about winning or losing, or having success or failure. The football plays, penalties, dropped passes, bad snaps, etc. etc. would be welcomed. Real football. However, it's the PROCESS in which these things occur that makes it frustrating. You throw picks because the safety warps through the receiver and catches the ball. The ball goes through your linebackers chest and into the hand of the receiver which is bending behind his back. Linebackers warp 5 yards to make tackles. Sacks occur because lineman just stand upright and block no one.
The implementation of everything in the game is a hot, sloppy mess. In many ways, Madden 15 was a regression from Madden 25. The line play is atrocious. On many plays, you will see your lineman not even make contact with a defensive player. These are all just gameplay issues, we won't even get into the poor and boring CFM mode or the countless bugs that still plague the game.
Not sure what goes on at Tiburon, but clearly it's a lost cause. There are other, much more polished and better quality titles down the pipe. Football gaming has disappeared into a dark corner for 9 years and never re-emerged. Maybe it will again some day.Comment

This exactly what i've been saying! I'm having a blast with M25! I Waited an hr for the 3.1 GB patch (M15) to download last night to give this one last try... only to play a QTR of football and think to myself "Meh, this game just sucks," and I proceeded to uninstall the whole damn thing. There are so many issues...

I was initially going to trade M15 towards FIFA but now I'm not sure I want to give any more of my money to EA.Comment

I'll say quickly, FIFA is a whole different world than Madden. People can say what they want about the gameplay itself but the actual game is so much more quality. From the menu, to the options, the presentation, all the little things FIFA at least does really well. So yea it's EA logo but give the game a shot. I play it more than I play Madden now. This exactly what i've been saying! I'm having a blast with M25! When I got it, I was like wow this is an improvement, but after 2 weeks same old same old and just boring and felt like a chore to play. Terrible issues coming to light from the dated engine. Glad I got 40 bucks for my trade inComment

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
for me, the defensive player warping and suction that happens in this game is worse than any madden in recent memory. definitely worse than m25. you are forced to stop playing football and start playing madden, and the outcome of the game, as well as your enjoyment of the game, depend entirely on what EA decides to make the AI do. will the defenders in coverage warp to the ball and make plays for you? or will they stand around and stare into space as the offense makes plays on you?
I even had one play where the middle linebacker was covering a seam route by the slot receiver. the receiver has him beat by 5 yards and i throw it just after the linebacker is turned the other way not looking at the ball being thrown. go figure, just as i throw it the linebacker just warps to face the other way while also warping 3-5 yards toward the ball, leaps like michael jordan 15 feet in the air, and picks the pass off. And things like this happen all the time, usually multiple times per game. it's plays like this that make madden what it is, and will continue to make it a terrible game year in and year out.
and that is just one small issue in the game, as there are well over a dozen or more other issues i can think of that ruin this game for me.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
Despite its flaws, its playing a hell of a fun game online head to head. Ive played against all types of players and been able to adjust defensively to slow them down or even shut them down. There are still some issues of course like being disconnected and not receiving win, even getting a loss one time but oh well. Not like my record is going to pay me anything so that's only a minor annoyance. I got caught by a "suction tackle", which is also a minor annoyance but it's a video game. One that's hardly programmed perfectly as we know so that's the best they could do. It's not like I'm getting robbed of plays left and right. If you are blaming suction tackling on you winning or losing, cmon.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
I just had the CPU kick a punt that hit the ground at the 2 yard line...and then bounced backward without going into the end zone! I couldn't believe it. I'm used to the ball just bouncing forward through the end zone every single time. I didn't see this in the patch notes, but I haven't seen it until this last patch so maybe they somehow changed how the ball behaves?Comment

Madden 15 is Broken offline...plain & simple. Another year of "It's gonna be the BEST Madden EVER" & like a fool I bought into it, only to get shafted again. This time it should've came w/ a jar of Vaseline.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
After recently just buying the game and playing a bunch of Madden Moments last night I have to say it's a fun mode that is hamstrung by the lack of individuality of the teams/players.
If the teams would have worn generic practice uniforms I honestly wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. I'm sorry, but in 2014 this is unacceptable.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (XB1/PS4)
I'm starting to notice that I'm losing a lot of guys to injury whenever the AI QB breaks off of their sack attempt. It's almost like they're so embarrassed that they got shook that they pretend it was cause they got injured...
Just happened again, to the same guy, after I restarted a game. This is getting old.Last edited by FedExPope; 10-10-2014, 10:20 PM.Comment
