Does this patch update without a prompt when starting Madden? I see no update history, but my console says version "1.03."

Also, if the patch is in effect, it seems like I don't have to restart my offline CFM. I noticed the simmed passing stats in my franchise (currently in Week 6) have QBs throwing for 30-35 TDs if I sim to the end of the season.

    Any thoughts?
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

it only updates by itself if u have it in standby and have it marked to get d/ls that way... if not u have to do it once madden starts up.

and some ppl say u do to have the patch take effect and others say u don't... but I've yet to start a cfm either online or off because of all the stuff that was wrong with both.

Specifically (and Iโ€™ll say it again):

OS is not a super-secret site tucked away in the far reaches of the www where only the hardest of the hardcore players resideโ€ฆand of who are the only ones rigorously playing Madden and discovering all of the bugs while the rest of the community ignorantly walks around like its 1995 discovering what the internet isโ€”hence, making OS โ€œthe minorityโ€.

Itโ€™s 2014. If people arenโ€™t at home on their PCโ€™s, theyโ€™re carrying around devices in their pockets that keep them connected 24/7. And as time permits they check on sites that revolve around their interests. For Madden, OS may or may not be one of them. But people are connected all over and Maddenโ€™s shortcomings are not some major secret whispered among the hallowed halls of OS because โ€œonly the hardcore reside here and are the only ones who careโ€. Itโ€™s a myth to suggest otherwise.

If people here are finding these things, discussing them, and reaching out the developers, there are likely others as well regardless of whether theyโ€™re registered here or not. Itโ€™s fascinating to me how the impact of this site on the developers and/or the community seems to grow or shrink with the apologist depending on the argument theyโ€™re making at the time.

EA has metrics. I have no doubt their metrics told them sacks werenโ€™t an issue user vs. user. I find it hard to believe their metrics showed them sacks werenโ€™t an issue user vs. cpu. This disbelief is reinforced by the fact they at first they say โ€œwe didnโ€™t find an issueโ€, then โ€œwell, itโ€™s too big for a patchโ€. Theyโ€™re dancing.

EA failed to deliver on some significant issues and theyโ€™re taking heat for itโ€”rightly so. This after waiting and the community told to โ€œbe patient, the patch is comingโ€. Attempting a defense of EA by inserting the whole โ€œcasual vs. hardcoreโ€ suggestion now is nonsense.
And this is the default argument of dev bashers. Go look at the 2K forum. Same thing.

Look at the sales numbers. Look at the number of people on the boards. There is a HUGE disparity. And just because people seem to think the squeaky wheel gets the grease these days, that isn't how business works.

Yeah I see now. Thank you. I'm testing a both new and my current CFM. I'm getting mixed results on the stats.

I might be crazy, but it feels like the patch might affect my current CFM. The QB TD-INT ratios aren't as weird when I sim to the Super Bowl.

"- Addressed issue where the formation name would not update during no huddle situations" can confirm this is still in the game.

Just noticed the way Brady leans over when taking a snap from his center. I don't recall if it looked like that before this patch. Could that be an update to the QB sigs or was I just not paying attention before?

I believe the sigs was just way they throw but even on that note peyton mannings motions in his sig don't look nothing like the ones in game so even though they said they fixed them me and few others think they didn't there's even video of both in game and player edit sig.

Please, thatโ€™s the counter? A โ€œright back at youโ€ with the default response? As much as you would like to believe otherwise, sites like these donโ€™t exist in a vacuum. Moreover, the disparity between Madden sales numbers and registered users at OS or any other site donโ€™t mean a damn thingโ€”itโ€™s irrelevant to this patch.

But again, thereโ€™s your implication that only the hardcore people who care ever register for a Madden site much less visit one. Since you seem to be one who โ€œknows how business worksโ€ then Iโ€™m sure youโ€™re aware there are plenty of businesses who accommodate โ€˜squeaky wheelsโ€™ or else their business wonโ€™t โ€˜workโ€™ for long, period.

Look, I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if you have a vested interest in having EAโ€™s back at every turn. But thereโ€™s wisdom in picking your spots and this isnโ€™t one of them. After the overwhelming negative response to unaddressed issues from a patch that was long in coming and hands were slapped for not being patient and giving EA the benefit of doubt, to try and deflect this into a โ€˜casual vs. hardcoreโ€™ argument is simply white noise and carries no weight whatsoever. EA failed to deliver with this patch. Thereโ€™s no upside to defending it.

                  Or is there?

I really think he is trying to explain to you that there are a ton of Madden players....outside of OS (and far more than the consistent voices posting here) that are having a blast, love the game and are fine with it. It's just here in our community...the overwhelming majority (at least the vocal majority) are disgusted with the game, EA and the patch.

His point is.....the vocal majority here is a crumb of the overhwhemling satisfied players of the game around the country.

its just not here on OS that ppl are complaining about the game go over to EA madden forum same thing so to say its just one site is not right yea some say there's nothing wrong and enjoying it there's a lot who don't like the glitches etc that are still in the game even though EA said they fixed them.

I guess if u say u enjoy it u can stand watching your player get suctioned blocked into the cb which ruins the route and useally more often then not results in a INT... or having your wr wide open nobody around and they warp half way across the field not even moving there feet to make the INT.

or watching your wr try making a catch but getting mugged and no flag thrown?

so if u enjoy seeing that during a game guess u can enjoy about anything I know its a video game and all but when u see it happening every game it gets annoying after awhile and that's why most give up on madden and move onto another game.

While I would disagree with the general premise that there are "overwhelming satisfied players of the game around the country", your point is well articulated.

I disagree because rather than seeing OS in a vacuum, I believe it reasonable that if there is a mix of casual, hardcore, don't care, do care, like the patch, don't like the patch here at OS, then it's likely it's that way elsewhere as well. In this internet age, I don't believe these sites or the community as a whole lives in a vacuum, and therefore, it's probable the disappointment here is not just contained here.

I do appreciate your response, however.

Saw that the QB throwing styles were mentioned to be fixed. Turned the game on to test Aikmans dropback and throw......and it's still broken. Good job EA.
