Since it seems that their rag-doll physics take into account a player's hand momentum and the collision between body parts, you can determined if a player gets hurt by how much force the player gets hit with different parts of their body.

one thing I totally don't agree with is in-game injuries. I understand the sim aspect of it in that you want it to be as real as possible, and if playing "live season" a player is left out of games because they are unfortunately injured in real life that's ok. however, in a regular quick game I am totally against injuries and I will turn it OFF. wish I could turn off sports injuries in real life too! in my OPINION injuries should never be put in sports games. I understand its in the real life game, but lets keep the fact that we have a controller in our hands and are just manipulating code for the sake of entertainment into perspective. injuries rob players of their earning power, teams of chances to compete, and us as viewers some entertainment value. any chance we get to eradicate them from the equation we should take!

I totally agree with the inclusion of more physics though!

In Live 10 you could get your head taken off in the paint and no call would be made.

And I'm not sure what the fuss about lack of defense is about. Live never had any solid defensive controls. They've always fell short in that area.

Smart defensive rotations and proper defensive rebounding can makeup for some of those shortcomings if implemented correctly.

I would like an injury system like 2Ks in Live. That's one thing they did really well and would be cool for Live (dynasty mode only). But I like what I'm hearing from Live and I still love the visuals trailer. Hopefully the demo will come out soon and we can get a nice long look at it! Any word on year to year saves ala MLB The Show?

Interesting opinion there. In my opinion a sports game without injuries or even an on/off option for them is severely lacking and doesn't nor do I believe it would translate well to a lot of sports gamers. Not only should it be included because it's part of the game in real life, but without in-game injuries things would be really boring, as there's no sort of risk or consequence to spamming your top players.

Basketball games without injuries would be in some cases on the same level as double dribble, arch rivals, Hoops;and nba jam to me lol.Fun but in an arcade sense.

As long as their is an on/off option. Injuries should always be an option in sports games but they shouldnt be mandatory.

I've actually been thinking about shutting them off when playing quick games, in all sports titles, for 2 reasons:

                1. It sucks playing a close game only to have a key player injured. Yes it's a part of the game and it is rewarding to win after an injury but usually people choose teams to use certain players, not for them to be takken out of the game. It sucks to lose a game knowing you were missing a player.

                2. Almost opposite of my first point, I hate my opponent having an injury. If I'm playing Madden against the Broncos and Manning goes down or 2k/Live against the Cavs and Lebron gets injured then I feel like I am cheating. I want to know I won a game because of how well I played not because the opponent lost an important player.

I can understand injuries in a season or franchise mode. It wouldn't make sense for theire to be no injuries throughout a season but for quick games it isn't necessary.
