For The MyCareer players with clueless teammates

I was EXTREMELY frustrated with my teammates in those for longest time until I cut off auto play calling. Once I did, as a point guard running a 3-2 set with free lance actions on the Pacers its like a totally different game, Paul running off screens for wide open jumpers or David get space to work in the low block its absolute perfection.

My son starting doing this as a SG on the Kings running a 4-1 set with freelance as well and is finding the same success.

Perhaps it is just a placebo effect, but for those getting mad with poor teammates I suggest doing the same and running a set that suits your team with freelance settings.

How did you turn off automatic play calling. Mine is on manual in the coach settings but a play is still run almost every time up the floor. Sometimes the most ridiculous ones or ones that are canceled as soon as ball hog Harden won't pass to me when I'm open.

The problem is the chemistry setting. When I got to the Rockets we has a 51 Rating. We was getting Smashed. Now with a 95 We actually play much better. Computer still plays like its an allstar team but your teamates play better and score more. Its just getting there. We just won 5 in a row. then It was like a lid was over the basket. smh

Did u set what freelance ur team is running or is it what's being ran by default?

My team chemistry is at 95 so it's not that. I bet most if you guys having success are playing on pro or all star.

I play on SS sim and changed it the scheme from default to 3-2.

Just beat the Pistons by 17 with a stat line of 1point 16 assists and 4 boards with 1TO.

Team chem is at 55% and we are 8-0. So I dont think its my chem.

I'm with the Magic on Superstar Sim and currently on a 27 game losing streak because my teammates refuse to make layups or any buckets at all in the 4th quarter. Just lost 136-71 against the Cavs with me having 46 points, 12 assists and 14 rebounds as a PG. The 2k-Vucevic is a total idiot and I wonder how he would ever make it into the NBA. His statline: 4 points with 19 FGA, 2 rebounds, 8 TOs. I love playing with him!

I tried everything from 4-out-1-in with Frye on the court to 3-2 or even the triangle offense. Those guys just suck.

How do you edit the set you run in my career? I try doing it the same way you do it in the other modes, i.e. In game with the dpad, but that doesn't work for some reason.

I think it only works as a Point Guard in MyCareer. I can only change it while being subbed in as PG. When they put me in at SG I can't change anything on Offense or Defense.

That's what I was afraid of. I am a small forward, but play as a point forward. Really wish the game would allow me to truly do that. I'm still thoroughly enjoying the game, however, and this is just a minor qualm.

I can't remember the thread but someone said the Defense was tuned to create higher percentages if you play off ball and allow the computer to play on ball.

Well I believe this is true for My Career as well, which sucks since you are ALWAYS off ball. When your computer teammate is guarding someone, Tightly contested shots go in against them at a crazy percentage.

But if you are guarding someone and they shoot or try and score they seem to drop substantially. Most notably when you contest a shot along with your computer teammate.

I don't like this very much.

On defense in MyCareer. You basically have to be everywhere in order to stop some of these shots from going in. It's maddening.
