The Cheese Must End (VIDEO INSIDE)

I have faith patches will fix a lot as it did last year. But just to provide some visual feedback: http://youtu.be/HtdKew7IGi4

Can't play much better defense than that.

I just played a game on All-Star. The shooting probability in MC for my player feels like HOF in 2k14. As there are some stagnant issues, MC shooting is almost perfect. They can rev up the defense a bit obviously, but if they kept this shooting probability for your player, toned down the contested makes and CPU rebounds--HOF would be nearly fixed. I would also like the added ability of always getting a perfect release if uncontested and manually releasing properly.

It feels funny asking for the shot to be labeled a good release if you released properly.

What are you talking about? You blocked it, Patty Mills recovered and has a wide open shot with you on his back hip

I've seen crazier shots hit in real life. Honestly as long as this isn't happening consistently then it's not cheese. That's the mindset you have to have when you're playing 2k...If not you will get frustrated.

That's the problem, it's happening consistently.

LMAO... You blocked it, he got it back with you behind him and made a wide open shot... how is that cheese? It's one random play, this rarely happens.

Does it suck it happens? Sure, but that wasn't unrealistic or cheesy.

My main problem (in MyCAREER) is how the CPU makes EVERYTHING in the paint, including contested shots, and your teammates miss everything. Even the slightest contest is a miss. I've found this has been common in MyCAREER throughout every 2k, but this year it's nearly unbearable.

Yes it is. Consistently. I have been making a collection of videos. Honestly, I am fine with stuff like this actually and laugh at it. Just before I picked a pass off and it went right in Duncan's hands and he passed it for a layup instantly with no kind of real life hesitation like wth just happened. Being penalized for blocking or stealing the ball is better this year for sure, but still needs some work. But it happens on both ends of the floor so it's not so bad.

Honestly, I see you preaching in a lot of threads man when you openly admit you are playing on Pro and are still on Pro. So please, if you don't play HOF and/or you are not beasting, then do not preach.

I'd also like to note that I have been playing on Superstar (the past few games) and it is just not difficult enough for me. My MC player is only a 72 overall and we lost 1 game out of 10. I bring it up to HOF like I should and the shots are ridiculous with wide open player shots needing an increase in probability.

Also, for those mentioning he hit an open shot, the ball landed in his hands and there was absolutely no real life hesitation. Also, the shot clock buzzed way before his release would have been considered even decent making it improbable for both real life and game standards that he should hit the shot. Just saying.

P.S. For all the people advocating and protecting the game's mechanics at the moment; if you are not on HOF, do no preach in HOF threads. Also, please remember we all want the game to be good. Just because we are trying to post visual issues and help get things fixed does not me we are whiners or complainers like some others. We want the same thing. A great game that continues to be tuned and worked on so it is the best it can be until next year.

Ignore him. This is his first year of 2k next gen. Every time you block the CPU, the ball handler gets the ball right back and scores it instantly inside or outside. I don't recall the last time I've ever seen a block ending up back in the hands of the shooter at the three point line only for him to swish it. Last season, or ever. Blocks always end up out of bounds or being saved by a teammate away from where the ball was blocked. But in 2k the block in MyCareer only works if it penalizes you right after.

I've been focusing on being a strong defensive center this year for MC, and I see this kind of thing all the time. You block it, and while you are still stuck in animation the CPU immediately gets the ball (even if it literally just bounced behind them, they will spin instantly and grab it) and then shoot before you can recover.

I don't have any issue when it happens that their teammate is the one to grab the block and fire, but when it is the guy being blocked and you are stuck in an animation helplessly, it is just incredibly frustrating. This kind of thing does happen in real life but not as often as I have seen it. I was just in a play off series against the Hornets and this BS was Al Jefferson's bread and butter whenever I blocked one of his post-fadeways, easy 2 points for him every time, I stopped even bothering to try and block and hoped shot contest luck would stop him.

TBH I think its happening less this year than in previous versions. IMO it still happens but a lot of the time its from me being out of place defensively. I can live with that if its on me.
