i gotta mess with sliders again.
with the new tuner i outshot the cpu 38-12.

seems as though i was playing on tuner 1.00 all along. as i never even tried going into hut before to get the tuner.
goalies def seem weaker in this tuner.

My players still seem to do this spin-o-rama at times and I'm not sure what I'm doing to trigger that, it never happens when I play the last gen version. It stinks because it usually causes me to lose the puck.

This is caused by inadvertently pressing the left trigger. I was having this at first until I realized that my finger was resting on the trigger and sometimes pressing it ever so slightly without me even noticing it. Once I corrected that, the problem went away.

This is caused by inadvertently pressing the left trigger. I was having this at first until I realized that my finger was resting on the trigger and sometimes pressing it ever so slightly without me even noticing it. Once I corrected that, the problem went away.

I play with Hybrid controls and its the L2 trigger that causes the vision control ala Savy spin o rama if you choose but I turn and use it to protect the puck but I rarely use it.

Ok I accidentally didnt save my first playoff game so here is the replay and this is on allstar default penalties raised .
I won the first game 3-2 in ot that was a close game except for cpu getting pp opportunities .

In the game replay I won 3-0 and was pretty dominate the whole game as I should be as I was ANA seed #1 vs Stars #8 so this is promising but I will play a few more games before raising cpu teammates penalty slider because after 6 games Im getting around 4 pp to the cpu 1.5 PP so that skews stats a bit and my stats seem better with equal teams.

All in all if this is gonna be the final product I can live with it as its pretty balanced and fair with a good amount of true interaction but Im still disappointed real physics wise ? I mean why would pretty realistic physics be in this game at release and then totally removed ?


I would also hope resources or not they would have tons of rosters updates with real gear , proper captains ect especially since we have little control and all the mistakes this one had and how do you mess up pelley smith sloppy and this series and fans deserve more !

I play on Hardcore and to make my point better understood as a comparison the only other sports game I play is The Show and I see many similarities in programming between both games to produced many different scenarios sliders alone cant produce.

What I dont understand is why EA NHL would release a game with great Physics back on release and then just abandon them other than to keep the game looking sim at least stat wise .

But then it effects the how when your actually playing but for now I accept its the best they can give us so I will roll with it as the tuner is pretty good from what it was and the random stuff as a challenge is kind of fun as no two games are a like .

I started a test in Playoff Mode best of 3 and playing as Calgary vs SJ it was nice to see me struggle as I was down 5-1 after one period but the how it happened felt just like the show to me in a sense as things just stopped and started that I felt I had no control of almost like I wasnt playing and Hiller let in 5 goals on 9 shots ? do attributes even matter at times and I was blocked out on all 5 but it didnt feel totally cheap like on the last tuner .

But I do understand why its done that way and in NHL I still felt like I had a little chance so Im dying to see what Happens when Im Chicago vs Dallas and game #2 in Calgary .

So to better understand check out my period by period box score as I dont wanna win every game but I also dont wanna feel like Im a pedestrian so I guess the old debate sim over fun but I can live with NHL 15 as is but next time dont tease us with real physics and then remove them .

Wow Im shocked The Stars spanked me in Chicago 3-1 and things felt pretty balanced in this game as I paid on two of their goals by playing bad position defense and its funny I knew it when it was happening and I couldnt recover and only 2 penalties all game both in the last minute ?.

Well Im having exciting games and seeing alot of cool little things regardless and nothing is coming off as too blatant like the hitz tuner as it still is a hockey video game so I will try and play reaction hockey to what is unfolding and stay in position.

exactly. why are they so obsessed w/ changing things? Game was fine out of the box.

I think online this patch is quirky. Online the puck bounces way too much. Its hard to get it under control and get a good shot off. It's more polo than hockey. Also, the super goalie is there online but not offline. Maybe it's just me. The good thing online is the game plays faster than the last patch. It's getting harder holding out hope for this game. With all the stuff they've done to screw up the game, it's leaving me with little desire to continue playing regardless of what fixes they release.

Yeah it surely has it moments with generate gameplay but I really think guys who wanted straight sim hockey will like this gameplay update at least visually and you know why online is the way it is but good luck .

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me. I just downloaded the new roster. when i go to view rosters, i see that they have rated Kadri's potential as elite... however, when i go to be a gm mode, it changes to a red (low) top 6 forward. It does this with a few others like Percy.... does any 1 know whyy?

Only played one game of GM mode with the new tuner. But yeah...did get the feeling that this tuner is a decent one. A touch of "Berserk mode" did happen, but seemingly not quite as ugly as before. I deserved to get beat, and was. But wasn't left with that wtf just happened feeling. Ie....wasted my time playing. V1.01 a positive, imo.
