Updated impressions after more play time:

I really wished this game was good ... but its not. At all. Sorry but there is so much wrong with it that I cant even start to list all of the errors. These are the most frustrating ones:

- the general offensive movement of your player is really bad, takes you out of control all the time
- spacing isnt that great either. Players stick to their man without collapsing (could be because I´m not used to the game yet and cant get by defenders)
- bad animations when the game is moving (like catching the ball etc.)
- shooting is an absolute joke (milliseconds to release)
- Passing is very frustrating as I hit the wrong player all lot of times
- CPU AI very questionable (8 seconds to go till halftime and the CPU dribbles the ball up slowly just to throw a half court shot at the buzzer)

Positives are still the graphics and presenation. But apart from that I cant find much that I like at the moment. In some areas its improved but the overall gameplay is a bit of mess right now to be honest. I predict review scores similar to last year.

Update: It looks better than it plays I have to say after watching youtube videos.

Are any of you seeing a large amount of jump passes?...its this weird overhead pass in the air the cpu does when it doesnt have to at times...


After 4 games this game isnt Sim to me I'd put it in the arcade category...thats not a bad thing if I just want something to play...but as far as a real nba simulation goes..its just not happening right now with 15.I'll have to see what live 16 talking about...and someone mentioned synergy...last night when I booted up the game again it said downloading synergy...was that just an empty message or did it really download synergy?

Did you play a lot of '14?

I bought 14 and played some yes. But not a lot obviously I did see some good stuff in 14 but find it hard to see somethig positive in 15 atm.

The reason why THAT ESPN specific camera looks so good and makes the game and player animations look so good is the angling(that a word?)

Any ever notice? and this has been true for madden and fifa recently
that when you zoom player animations looks ok, same with nba live 15 close ups make the game looks decent HOWEVER the ea action cam and easports broadcast cams do not because of the angles chosen.

YOU NEED to have the camera pulled back as it is on the bulls espn cam so that it reflects the spacing more...

Kinda ticked that the development team doesnt recognize WHEN their game actually looks good in a camera angle so that they can sell it better

I messaged Sean Lets Hope SOME kind of recourse action can be made

I'm curious to know what's everyone's opinion of court to player ratio.

Personally I like it. It seems that I have more room to move and manage the ball in NBAL.

The court is definitely larger than that of its competitor.

Look at Westbrooks arms. Dude is yoked in nba live 15. I dont get why EA has jacked player models In all their games. Madden same thing. kickers that look like they bench 500 pounds.

Rather have that then 2k's player models. Dwight howard looks like Kevin Durant in real life

I like the court\player ratio a lot....in fact it's proof you can have fairly "big" sized players without sacrificing spacing....

sidenote Anthony Davis has to be the worst looking face in live 15 Damian Lillard's face scan still amazes me in game it looks very good

I know one thing 2k and live both need to chill with letting these players read....they sound horrible

Players look too small in comparison to the court...doesn't look realistic to me at all. I undersrand some prefer the smaller players/bigger court so those that like more room to maneuver will be a fan.

How's everyone's drive and kick game?

I was too busy learning to even check it out thoroughly ....

I know the CPU would glue their man most of the type last year and not react to drives....same with the pick and pop...popper would rarely be open because the D wouldn't help...

I'm hoping that after the Live team does some tweaking here and there, that maybe they will begin to implement new modes, NHL 15 style.

I doubt it. NHL 15 didnt have many modes at all. Live has modes but they have no real depth. At least for me. All of the things I care about (Sliders/30 Team Control Franchise/Team Tendencies) arent in the game and EA has a pretty crappy history of adding features to modes after the game has launched. Shoot even the NHL 15 team half assed a lot of the modes they added.
